Wow, I thought we were gonna make it through the entire month of June without a “Will Smith is a Scientologist” story. From Life & Style magazine (via Pop Crunch):
Life & Style spies claim Will was chatting up the unorthodox religion to anyone who would listen on the set of his new film, Hancock, opening July 4th.
“He gave out Scientology-like pamphlets at the end of the shoot,” says biographer Andrew Morton, who published an unauthorized biography on Kooky Cruise last Winter.
“It’s also been said that he and Jada are homeschooling their children in Scientology methods,” Morton insists.
Will and Jada are also rumored to be financing the New Village Academy, a Scientology-associated school to open in Calabasas, California this Fall.
Morton explains: “So between that, the pamphlets, the school in Calabasas, and his close friendship with Tom, it seems all the evidence leads one to conclude that he is a part of this organization.”
Will Smith’s association with Scientology should really help box office sales. Lord/Xenu knows it’s helped Tom Cruise’s last few films. Perhaps it’s because this country still suffers from deep-seated intolerance that these days being associated with Scientology is worse for a actor’s career than being associated with drugs (Robert Downey Jr.), sexual deviancy (R. Kelly) or murder (Rebecca Gayheart). Or maybe it’s just because most* of us are sick of having celebrities cram their DICTUMS down our throats.

I watched King of Queens on broadcast TV with Leah Remini, even though Remini is an obnoxious Scientooky.
But I won’t pay out-of-pocket for movies with Scientookies like Cruise, Travolta, and now Smith.
Or for those movies with actors who throw telephones at working stiffs, like Russel Crowe.
it must be a scientology thing to point on the red carpet.
Someone tell this dude that Scientology is a career-killer because Tom Cruise and SNS are pretending not to notice.

Yeah, because Life&Style is sooo credible and Andrew Morton is so reliable! Please… Will Smith has denied many times that he is joining Scientology and actually said he doesn’t believe in organised religion.

Everyone who condems someone for their religious beliefs regardless of how “unconventional” are hypocrits if you have friends whos religion is not of the main stream. I had a friend who was into to witchcraft, not black magic and i really didnt get inot the specifics i was raised baptist went to catholic school studied the muslims in college and even dabbled in buddism. Some ppl are just in search of an elevated enlightenment and a beleif system that wil keep them motivated and spirtually grounded what ever their faith. I dont know much about sciencetology but they same way that they stoned jesus and tried to stamp out all they christians back then fast forward to now and its one of the largest religions. Live and let live. Ill still see their work if its crap its not bcause of their religion its because of the acting directing or plot but not because of their personal faith. Peace and love to ALL!

Where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire. I had certainly hoped that Will and jada wouldn’t fall into that trap. That religion is all about money. Will’s got it, Scientology wants it. This is one of the most self serving religions I’ve seen. They pretent that they don’t believe in medicating themselves, yet they go to doctors and do just that. Hypocrites!

hey Mormons are christians! They are really called “The Church of Jeses Christ of Latter Day Saints”…. right in the title it say Jesus. Mormons ONLY worship God and Jesus. But scientogolist are not a religion… even Tom Cruise said that… it is more of a theology or a idea, they don’t worship anyone… they just think Xenu brought aliens to earth or something with a volcano spreading souls.
