He is absolutely right. Obama will end any sense of freedom we have left in this country. He is planning on implementing a citizen's military with as much power and as well funded as our military. He plans include that youth would be required to serve in the citizen army before beginning college. How did Hitler rise to power? He rose during a time of economic trouble, when people were very discouraged and unsettled. Much like what is happening in America today. By giving very good speeches, promising to be their savior and take care of everything through the Government, offering hope and change to the youth who were totally swept away by his speeches and demeanor. He also implemented a powerful civilian army. Much of Obama's agenda is based on the principle of force and in opposition to the freedom of choice that we as Americans have always enjoyed, will be mandatory, forced upon us, mandated type of executive orders, it will be all about shoving his agenda down our throats. How do I know this go back and review some of the off the cuff remarks by his wife Michele and him on the campaign trail and then think about their meanings. Michele made a comment to a group that when Obama becomes president there will be no more "uninvolved citizens" or words to that effect. I am sorry but we in America have a right to be as involved or univolved as we like, that will end under Obama. Our freedoms are in very great peril if this man gets elected. I am a very level headed average American, I do not hold extreme views, I am pretty much in the middle of the road on most issues, but I see something very dangerous, very revolutionary, and very unprecedented with Obama. Wake up America before it is too late.

Look, I don't know how good Obama would be if he were elected. I hope he'd be good, but you never know for sure until the guy (or gal) is elected. So, the democratic mutual admiration society, i.e. his highness, Barack Hussein Obama and his democratic cronies met behind closed doors ... and, then upon leaving the meeting, graced us with glowing reviews of Obama's humility and his inevitability to win in November. Then, for the umpteenth time, Obama told us how his 6 countries in 9 days photo op, proved how he is now a qualified expert in foreign policy. Then, he refused to acknowledge that the surge worked. Yes ... I would call Obama a presumptuous arrogant empty suit, who is being packaged and agressively marketed to the American people. What a grand deception. As far as education and health care go, it's not whining. This stuff is important to everybody's economic well being, and the fact that a lot of people simply can't afford education and health care affects everyone, not just those people who can't affort it.

One example: California has been an economic dynamo for decades in part because a guy some of you would refer to as a "socialist" governor (Pat Brown, Jerry Brown's father) built the finest public university system in the county. You want to talk about "trickle down" theories? Try calculating the wealth generated from all the people educated, nearly for free, in the 60's, 70's and 80's in those schools. Think about the money that flowed into California because businesses wanted to hire a well educated young work force. Worried about jobs going to India? One part of the problem is that India has developed a very strong network of engineering colleges that is cranking out well educated people at an incredible rate --- it's not just about the lower wages over there; those guys are smart too. They are educating their kids, we are not educating ours.

As far as health care is concerned, it's not just the problem of the people who are actually sick if a lot of people are sick. At that point, it becomes everybody's problem: workers miss work, diseases spread, productivity drops.

In the end, we can't have sick people lying around in the streets infecting everyone else, so at some point we have to step in to protect ourselves. How about stepping in early, before things get out of hand and the cost goes through the roof?

Oh and about the "Democratic mutual admiration society." Be fair. It's just stupid political stuff and they all do it. Jeez, at the last Republican convention you would have thought that Bush was the second coming.

As sad as it may seem, this is why I refuse to register to vote. A politician is a politician no matter who he or she is, or what color or age, as far as running this country, they’re just full of promises that will never be fulfilled. They never lie! It is a huge relief to hear from someone in Hollywood who is sane and logical. I am from Chicago and I know that Obama is an opportunist. He has been hoisted to this position by a set of people who think and behave as though they are under some diabolical trance. Firstly, Obama says whatever it takes to get votes. Yes, he has written a couple of books and speaks with talent. But what he says doesn't amount to a hill of beans, as far as ideas for the future of this country. He does speak like a socialist. Terrorism is unfortunately, a part of our future because being a nation which plays fair, we cannot and will not simly bomb to oblivion, rougue countries, which if they had the capacity, would bomb not only here but Europe as well. Your praise about India seems a bit misplaced. Have you ever been to India? India is the poster child of poverty. The country is filthy and polluted and they don't even have proper sewage systems (so much for all the great engineers they produce). Keep in mind that it is the wealthy and the equivalent to our upper middle class in India who get educated. The poor do not have access to higher education and many are not even afforded primary education. If the labor pool in India wasn't so cheap, we wouldn't be sending our jobs there. It wouldn't matter how educated and smart they were.

By what I've read of your comments, it's apparent that if you were a registered voter you'd likely vote for Obama. But you do understand that he and McCain aren't the only choices. Are you aware that you can vote for another person on the ballot? You can even write in the name of someone that you want to be President. You are deluded to think that politicians don't affect your life one iota. Do you pay taxes? Are you living in freedom in the US and if so, do you adhere to the laws of your state? Did you or are you raising children who went to public school? If you drive, do you use gas to run your car? If you can answer yes to any of the above questions then your life is affected by politicians. But since you don't vote, you really don't have a voice. I'm actually tired of both parties claiming that their way is the only right way!!!!! But his actions showed me he cannot be trusted. A great leader may not be popular, nor does he have to be right every time. What he must possess, is strong character. Let's take healthcare. Okay, so the system is screwed up. The answer is not to make it free for everyone!! Nothing is free in this world. Somebody has to pay for it. We have the ability to choose. If I wanted healthcare, I'd buy it. Why would I blame the government for the lack of it? If I don't make enough money, I work another job. If I cannot afford to feed my kids, I wouldn't have any. If I was greedy and pulled equity out of my home to buy more homes with interest-only loans, speculating that I'd make more money, then I deserve to lose. After all, there are plenty of businesses that failed each day; we don't expect big brother Obama to bail us out, do we? It's time that we Americans take responsiblity and be accountable for our actions! Haven't we learned from history what happened when government promised to take care of us? Our founding father had the wisdom to set our governmental system to ensure every CITIZENs the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I don't think they meant "hand-out"! Our system may not be perfect, but it does attempt to give everyone equal opportunities to do well, should they choose.
