Knievel died on November 30, 2007, aged 69. He had been ill for years, suffering from hepatitis C, as well as diabetes and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, an incurable condition that scarred his lungs. Knievels death was confirmed by his granddaughter, Krysten Knievel.
