The thing about Criss Angel is that he is a showman. He was the singer in a rock band for a while and is still a musician. Naturally, this profession requires a certain stage presence. He puts on a show. But he tells you that he's lying. The Mindfreak show has supernatural in the "definition" at the beginning. This is inherently misleading, I'll admit.
However, if asked, he will admit that everything is a trick. He has said so on many occasions. Uri Geller and "Paranormalist" Jim Callahan claim that they can bend spoons with their mind and talk to the dead, respectively. There is a big difference. Criss Angel has a team of the best American magic illusion artists behind him, helping him craft every trick. The tricks are meant to be illusions- to look paranormal. That's what makes them fun.
I consider way harder if a guy can walk down the side of a building by illusion than by powers cause it takes a shit-load more effort and planning to pull off. I don't believe that anybody has psychic powers, at this point. One must start from this position and ask for proof. Anything that can be tested and turn up negative, like this encounter, counts against the psychic community and makes them less credible.
What's in the envelope? It's a simple question with a simple answer. Jim was just making a show of it and so was Criss. However, Jim was doing it to be a weasel and get out of having to prove himself by blowing it up so big that people had to step in and stop it.
No respect for paranormalists, much respect for illusionists.

Damn... I could have done without watching that. Exhibitions of "magic" and the "supernatural" are all imaginary. There is no paranormal... no "magic man". At all.

Personally I love Cris because he is an entertainer and not out to try to impress people the way we think he does. I love the fact he confronted Jim I actually had a GREAT laugh with it. You see Cris doesn't pretend to be someone he isn't but Jim on the other hand....... PATHETIC some people will do anything for attention. I love you Cris keep up your good work. Screw those who are jealous of you. xoxoxo

Thanks, Annicka.

NEWS FLASH: aasdasd, soar and the lucifer...defending a TOOL makes you one!

I don't support Jim C., Criss A. or any of them. THE POINT WAS THAT THEY ARE ALL FAKES IN THERE OWN WAY. Just some are more entertaining and engaging than others. Phenomenon is about performers as contestants...thats it, and is as hollow as the worst "reality" shows.

Chris B above said it best.

Don't know if Criss Angel is a hypocrite as h3 said, but it wouldn't suprise me and frankly I don't care. He is so full of himself that he probably looks in the mirror while he masterbates. His "stunt" of calling out Uri and Jim was just that...a stunt. He was trying to gain more respect and noteriety by attempting to discredit someone else. Instead, he came off as a complete prick that doesn't even show respect to the show's producers or his co-judge.
