Terrence Howard

Terrence Howard at the CNN Heroes event in Hollywood (11/21)

They want their $1.1 million. And trust me, they will send someone to break your kneecaps if you don't pay. From the Detroit News:
Actor Terrence Howard is finding it's not only "Hard Out Here for a Pimp," but hard to pay federal income taxes. The A-lister, who was nominated for an Academy Award for his pimp role in 2005's "Hustle & Flow," owes more than $1.1 million to the IRS, according to public records. The IRS filed a $1,129,219 lien against Howard on Jan. 25 with the Montgomery County (Pa.) Prothonotary. According to the lien, he owes income taxes from 2007 and 2008.
You'd think as someone who's constantly in the public eye and worth millions of dollars that Terrence would have had the good sense to hire an accountant . . . especially when you consider the disasters Wesley Snipes, Nicolas Cage, and Congress have gotten themselves into lately. But as any celebrity will tell you, there's still one thing that's even more devastating to your financial future than trying to cheat the IRS: date Brian Austin Green. "Honey, I need to borrow $71,251.42."

Terrence Howard beat up his wife

A few days after Chris Brown was arrested for beating up Rihanna, Terrence Howard was caught by a Hollywood.TV cameraman voicing support for Brown ("It's just life man. Chris is a great guy. He'll be all right. Rihanna knows he loves her. They'll be alright. Everyone has just got to get out of their way.") Understandably, considering the extent of Rihanna's injuries, people were pretty surprised that someone would be coming to Chris Brown's defense. Oh hey, I bet you'll never guess who was arrested in 2001 for beating up his wife. From The Smoking Gun:
Police and court records reveal that Howard, 39, was once arrested for a similar crime, the details of which have not been previously reported. [Howard] was arrested by Pennsylvania cops in September 2001 for assaulting his estranged wife. According to a Whitemarsh Police Department report, after Howard and Lori McCommas argued on the phone, the actor warned, "Don't disrespect me by hanging up on me or I'll come over and hurt you." McCommas then "hung up and contacted 911 fearing Howard was serious."

While McCommas was speaking with a police dispatcher, Howard "showed up at the victim's residence and began breaking the door down." McCommas ran to the rear of the house and into the backyard. Howard then "broke the front door down and ran through the screen door in the kitchen. Howard then grabbed the victim's left arm and punched her twice with a closed fist in the left side of the face." The attack was broken up by Howard's brother, who responded to McCommas's house after he "saw Howard storm out of their house to go to the victim's house." When a Whitemarsh cop responded to the scene, Howard admitted, "I broke the door down and hit my wife." A second officer noted there was "fresh damage to the front door and marks on the victim's face and arm from being struck."

After being charged with a variety of crimes (simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment and stalking), Howard subsequently pleaded guilty in 2002 to disorderly conduct. (Source)
Wow, tough break for Chris Brown. He has one famous dude supporting him and the guy turns out to be a wife-beater. Pretty much the only way things could get worse is if Charles Manson started some kind of legal defense fund for him. "We need your support and donations people. Open your heart or I will literally open your chest cavity with this rusty shank I keep in my shoe."

NOTE: Seriously, if you're famous and someone asks you a question, just shut the fuck up. I don't care if you're asked what your favorite ice cream flavor is, just shut the fuck up. Because if you answer, someone will do some digging and it will come out that were arrested back in college for running naked down a street with nothing but a waffle cone over your penis.
