Tea Leoni and her estranged husband David Duchovny were spotted in Malibu yesterday. Of course the two
famously split last year after David's little sex addiction problem became public. Call me crazy, but should a sex addict be hanging out at the beach? It might be kinda hard to control your urges when you're surrounded by hundreds of half-naked women. It'd be like me going to a fashion show. It's not the best place for a guy trying to wean himself off of runway models.

Despite appearing together earlier this month at the Czech Days Festival in New York, confirmed sex-addict David Duchovny and his wife of 11 years, Tea Leoni, have actually been separated for months. The couple's reps released a joint statement yesterday:
"In light of continuous speculation over the lives and marriage of Tea Leoni and David Duchovny, the couple has confirmed that they have in fact been separated for several months. The couple had hoped to keep this separation private for the sake of their children."Duchovny, 48, has been married to actress Leoni since 1997. They have two children, daughter Madelaine West, 9, and son Kyd, 6.
The actor voluntarily entered rehab last summer "for the treatment of sex addiction," he said in a statement issued in August. (Source)
David Duchovny had to go to rehab to quell his insatiable sex drive? I thought the scientific cure for that was called "marriage"? Let this story be a lesson to all of you out there who are thinking about changing yourself* just to please your spouse: Don't. If you want to make sure you both will live happily ever after, do what most Americans do: Get a divorce.

Remember that thing a few days ago about David Duchovny going to rehab for porn addiction and not because he cheated on his wife Téa Leoni? Oops. If you're to believe anonymous sources, turns out he was cheating on her. A source told the National Enquirer:
"He said Tea gave him an ultimatum: Get treatment or our marriage is over. She felt it was ruining their marriage and affecting their kids."According to the source, Duchovny has admitted that he is compulsively driven to be unfaithful and finds it impossible to turn down the legions of women who offer themselves to him. After news broke last week that David Duchovny entered rehab for sex addiction, everyone naturally assumed that he'd been cheating on his wife Téa Leoni. Nope. He's just addicted to Internet porn. Fox News says:
Duchovny’s problem has been longstanding. His wife, Téa Leoni , was aware of it for some time. It had just reached a point where it had to be treated.I have inferred from my conversation with Duchovny’s friend that this has something to do with an addiction to pornography, probably on the Internet. It’s the sex equivalent of a gambling addiction, where the person is just hopelessly trapped in chat rooms. (Source)
