Ryan Jenkins commits suicide
Tragic ending to the Ryan Jenkins saga -- or "not tragic" if you're not related to him. He killed himself at a motel in Hope, British Columbia, on Sunday, just three days after he was charged with first degree murder in the death of his wife Jasmine Fiore. From Canada's CBC News:
Adam Curt, a [Thunderbird motel] employee, said Jenkins "looked stressed out," and "wouldn't look anybody in the eye." Walker said Jenkins "looked spent" and did not resemble the photo that had been all over the news.Kill your wife. Flee to Canada. Kill yourself. Wow, brilliant plan. Clearly some thought went into this. It's too bad such a bright mind had to be taken from us so soon. Get there early -- before 7AM -- unless you want to be waiting in lines all day; oh, and try the funnel cakes).
When [Jenkins and a mysterious blonde woman] didn't check out, Walker entered the room and found Jenkins hanging from the bar of a coat rack by a belt.
"He definitely wanted to die. I smelt death," Walker said.
