Rachel Hunter is famous for her string of appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in the late-'80s/early-'90s, and on Sunday she was spotted paddleboarding in Malibu. Wow, she still looks amazing -- she's definitely held up better than a lot of people whose fame peaked 20 years ago. Like River Phoenix, for example.

Rachel Hunter was dumped by her fiancé, Los Angeles Kings' star Jarret Stoll, by email. Stoll and Hunter were set to be married on August 14 . . . until Stoll sent out an email to the guests informing them the ceremony was canceled. A source "close to Rachel" told The Sun:

“She is absolutely devastated. Everything was in place for their wedding — she had the venue, the designer dress, the guest list. She has absolutely no idea why Jarret has done this. It sounds like it could be a classic case of cold feet. He is a fair bit younger than her.”

The Los Angeles Kings player turns 27 today while Kiwi Rachel will be 40 in September. Rachel, who has two children with [ex-husband Rod Stewart], also wanted to start a new family.

Can't say I'm too shocked that Jarret dumped her. The whole relationship was backwards. 40-year-old ex-athletes are supposed to marry 27-year-old models, not the other way around. When you mess with God's plan, you should expect to feel some pain. Rachel's lucky she wasn't struck by lightning or attacked by locusts  . . . or something really bad like photographed with Kate Gosselin.
