Mr. Nanny: Defining movie of our generation? . . . actually, no.
Along with his wife Linda, Hulk Hogan is being sued by the family of John Graziano -- the guy his son Nick almost killed while street-racing last year (pics below). The suit claims that the Hulkster and his estranged wife Linda should be held legally responsible for the accident because they knew of their son's "need for speed and knew that he had souped-up his vehicle for the purpose of racing." TMZ says:
[The suit also alleges] Hulk purchased alcohol the day of the accident -- August 26 -- and that Hulk "knew or should have known" Nick was driving under the influence of the crash and he failed to take appropriate action. (Source)
This is why I try to abandon all my children before they're born. With the way lawyers are nowadays, nice guys like myself can't be too careful. Plus less money spent on diapers = more money for beer. Score!

Nick Hogan mug shot
Nick Hogan has finally been arrested for the August 26th crash that left his friend, Iraq war veteran John Graziano, in a coma and fighting for his life. On the night of the accident Nick was racing another car down a wet Clearwater, Florida road when his Toyota Supra careened off the road and struck a palm tree. From the charges filed today, apparently Nick had also been drinking before the accident. Hogan turned himself into police this morning and is being charged with the following:
- Reckless driving involving serious bodily injury (3rd degree felony; maximum 5 year sentence)
- Use of a motor vehicle in the commission of a felony
- A person under the age of 21 operating a vehicle with a breath-alcohol level of .02 or higher
- Illegal window tint
Ooh illegal window tint is a bitch. You know that's how the Feds finally got Al Capone. I think.
Nick's rep issued the following statement to the media:
". . . The tragedy to both families is compounded by the fact that unfortunately John was not wearing his seatbelt. Thankfully, Nick was wearing his . . ."
Damn Hogan family, way to kick a man when he's down. Why not slip a line in there about how John's a bedwetter and afraid of spiders.

Nick Hogan
Remember the accident Nick Hogan got into in late August? The Hulk's son was racing another car (his dad?) when he lost control and wrapped his Toyota Supra around a palm tree. Though Nick suffered only a broken arm, his passenger, 23-year old Iraq War veteran John Graziano, sustained massive head injuries and will most likely spend the rest of his life in a nursing home. While his friend is still in a Florida hospital on life support, Nick posted this gut wrenching entry onto his MySpace blog this weekend:
omgggggits been forever since i blogged...hell i dont even know what blog means but i guess its where you write stuff for people to read
anyways my last one was before i even drove for mopar, if you check my pics youll see that i did end up driving for them for my amateur season and most of my pro rookie season. i recently left the mopar team tho...things didnt work out to well
but!....i picked up a new title sponsor...POLAROID! and started my own team with twin 350z's pretty cool i know
anyways id like everyone to wish my luck for my 08 season and keep john graziano in your prayers
Wow, the way he throws in "keep john graziano in your prayers" at the end of his post about his sponsors for the upcoming racing season, lets just say I'm glad I had the tissues handy. In other news, guess which company I won't be buying a camera from ever.

You can throw out my theory about the Russians being to blame for Nick Hogan's car accident. A witness claims Hogan was racing another car between traffic signals just moments before he crashed into a palm tree. Frances Vitalis told AP:
"We knew something was going to happen," said Vitalis, who was riding a motorcycle with a friend behind the cars. "You know that this is a bad situation and these guys are hotdogging."Clearwater police spokesman Wayne Shelor also declined to comment Wednesday, citing an ongoing investigation. Police so far have said only that excessive speed contributed to the crash. (Source)
Lies dammit! All lies! The Nick Hogan I know would never do something as dangerous as street racing. Of course the Nick Hogan I know is a 16-year-old Asian boy that lives in San Francisco and rides his bicycle to school. We met during the whirlwind summer of 2005. He showed me how to love again and I bought him beer. As for the famous Nick Hogan that lives in Florida--street racing? Sure, why not.

Errrrr, not really. He was probably speeding and not wearing a seatbelt . . . like he received a ticket for three weeks ago when he was caught doing 82 in a 45 mph zone. That would mark the fourth ticket Nick's received for speeding in the last nine months. AOL Gossip says:
17-year-old Nicky has been busted four times for unlawful speeding, and gotten four points on his license! Nick has been caught doing 115 mph in 70 mile zone, 57 in a 30, and 106 in a 70! (Source)
This is way too cut and dry--too neat. It's almost like someone wants us to think Nick was speeding. Like maybe the Russians. Dammit, why is NO ONE talking about the Russians?!? They've been pretty quiet since the 80s . . . perhaps too quiet.

Hulk Hogan's son, Nick Bollea, almost died yesterday after his Toyota Supra careened off the road and struck a palm tree in Clearwater, Florida. The spokesman of the Clearwater Police Department, Wayne Shelor, told People magazine:
"His car inexplicably left the road and it was totally destroyed upon impact. We don't know exactly what happened but we are investigating." Bollea, 17, and his male passenger had to be extracted from the vehicle using the "jaws of life." They were placed on a Medivac helicopter where they were flown seven minutes to nearby Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. Bollea is in serious condition, while his passenger has been listed in critical condition. (Source)
Jaws of life? I swear, fire departments can be so dramatic sometimes. Wait, Toyota Supras are supposed to look like Mini Coopers, right?
UPDATE: Nick's mom issued a statement: "My son Nick and a friend were involved in a car accident last night. Nick suffered minor injuries and has been treated and released from the hospital. At this time, his friend, John Graziano remains hospitalized. Nick is currently at the hospital with John and his family. His sole concern is for the well being of his friend. On behalf of my family, we ask that your thoughts and prayers be with John and his loved ones."
