Naomi Campbell pled guilty yesterday in a Manhattan court to throwing a cell phone at her housekeeper, Ana Scolavino, 42, during a dispute over a pair of jeans. The supermodel was fined $363, sentenced to five days community service, and ordered to attend an anger management class. She was originally charged in March 2006 with second degree assault and faced up to seven years in prison. Campbell’s housekeeper needed four staples to close to gash caused by the phone. According to Campbell’s lawyer, David Breitbart, Campbell:
…admitted throwing a phone that hit her employee, but it was an accident and not intentional."She must have suffered some pain and Naomi was sorry about that," he said.

This is on top of the assault charge she's facing in New York for allegedly bashing her maid in the head with a jewel-encrusted cell phone. Police in London said a 36-year-old woman (confirmed by British media as Campbell) was arrested yesterday afternoon in a home in the Westminster area after another woman accused her of assault:
Campbell is believed to have slept for up to 12 hours at Charing Cross police station before being questioned and released on bail at 1am today. A source said the attack had allegedly happened when the model flew into a rage at her therapist, who has not been named, during a counselling session. The source said: "She looked quite shaken up. The marks were so red you could tell the attack had only recently happened."In the past eight years, Campbell has been accused eight times of committing acts of violence and verbal abuse against her employees and associates.

An annoyed judge threatened Naomi Campbell with arrest on Wednesday after she failed to show up in Manhattan Criminal Court to face charges of assaulting her housekeeper:
"She is absolutely obligated to appear at the next court date or the law will go into effect. A bench warrant will be issued," Judge James Gibbons told the supermodel's defense team, Reuters reports. Campbell, 36, faces charges of second-degree assault for allegedly throwing a cell phone at her housekeeper, Ana Scolavino, in March.In March, a rep for the supermodel characterized the housekeeper's charges as retaliation for being fired. At the time, Campbell told reporters, "It wouldn't be the first time I've been extorted." The London-born model was sued in 2003 by a former assistant who alleged that the Campbell had thrown a phone at her during a tantrum in a Beverly Hills hotel in 2001. In another incident, in February 2000, Campbell pleaded guilty in Toronto to beating an assistant with a telephone.
Naomi's got this whole housekeeper intimidation thing all wrong. They key is to really focus on the psychological abuse. As my pastor always tells me, first you break them down, then you build them back up. They'll be cleaning your shoes and cooking you dinner in no time. The thing with cell phones is that they leave marks and bruises. The detectives usually won't believe your side of the story if your housekeeper has a 'send' button imprinted into her forehead.
