Dallas Cowboys receiver Miles Austin is simply heartbroken over his breakup with Kim Kardashian . . . heartbroken that the paparazzi aren't following him around anymore. Awww, poor guy. Time heals all wounds. From US Weekly:

"Sitting on the floor of the Lakers game with her was better than any commercial of him that would ever run," an insider tells UsMagazine.com. "Sure, he liked her to an extent, but he loved the publicity a lot more."

Even though it didn't work out, Austin, 26, is still "pumped because dating her really put him into the national spotlight and really raised his awareness in the public eye," says the source. "He thought she was cool, but by no means is he heartbroken."

Kim Kardashian found an even bigger attention whore than herself? And the Universe didn't collapse in on itself, ending mankind as we know it? Hah, suck on that Stephen Hawking! I knew his Kardashian Famewhore Theorem was flawed!

Barely more than a week after a source claimed that Kim Kardashian's long-distance romance with her Dallas Cowboys beau, Miles Austin, was going "stronger than ever," the couple have gone their separate ways.

"There's no huge reason except their distance apart," a source close to the couple tells PEOPLE, explaining that the decision was mutual. "With his season and Kim's filming [Keeping Up with the Kardashians] it just slowly split them apart."

The source adds: "They tried to keep it as low profile as possible when they were together. They were acting as if they were single or just having fun, but they never were - it was the real deal. They were always strong, but before Kim left for Europe they decided it's not fair that they don't get to spend more time together and ended it."

Isn't saying that you're breaking up because of "distance apart" just another way of saying you don't get to bang enough? If that is the case, you can't really blame either one of them for wanting to move on. Miles is a professional athlete which means he has tons of random skanks to sleep with. And Kim is a Kardashian which means she has the continent of Africa to sleep with.
