Who'd have thunk it, but Salma Hayek says it's pretty damn cool being married to a billionaire. You know, I have always said that. She told the new issue of Redbook (via People):

"I work hard, I make my own living and I love it. I like having financial independence. I don't ever want to have to depend on anyone completely [but] when I have troubles sometimes, its nice to have someone there to help."

Even though she's a millionaire, are we actually supposed to believe that Salma married this guy for something other than his money? Sorry Salma, with your fame huge tits you could have ended up with anyone, but getting hitched to a guy whose family's worth more than $11 billion just made your intentions obvious. Next time, if you really want the general public to believe that your marriage is based on something other than a financial transaction, just do what other celebrities have done: jump on Oprah's couch.

Salma Hayek married French business mogul Francois-Henri Pinault on Saturday. The two were engaged in 2007 but broke it off last year. From Reuters:

Mexican-born actress Salma Hayek and French entrepreneur Francois-Henri Pinault married on St Valentine's Day in Paris, an official at the town hall of the chic sixth arrondissement said on Monday. The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the pair had tied the knot on Saturday morning.

Pinault, 46, heir to one of the largest fortunes in France, is head of retail group PPR, which includes the luxury Gucci brand as well as the Fnac retail chain. The couple have a daughter named Valentina, who was born in 2007, several months after they announced their engagement. (Source)

Well just look at the guy. It's easy to see why Salma fell for him, what with this billion dollar fortune, billion dollar fortune, and billion dollar fortune.
