Southern California on fire
Southern California is on fire right now. I live in San Diego and woke up to my car covered in ash. There's a thick, smoky haze hanging over the entire county right now. The mayor is telling people not to go to work if they don't have to to keep the freeways clear. Remember San Diego's infamous Cedar fire of 2003 (burned 280,000 acres and 2,200 homes)? The winds are stronger this year and every talking head on TV expects this fire to be worse. So how's your Monday morning going? ~100 miles north of me, Malibu is also on fire. Celebrities such as Mel Gibson, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Jennifer Aniston, Sting, Bill Murray, Sean Penn, and David Duchovny homes' are all threatened. Britney, Paris, honestly, I'd probably head for the hills and ride this thing out. Find the thickest, driest, brush and take cover under that. You don't need to be stuck in the traffic jam out of Malibu. What a headache.
