Catherine Zeta-Jones, who checked into a mental hospital in 2011 to treat her bipolar disorder, has again been hospitalized for treatment. From People:

"Catherine has proactively checked into a health care facility," her rep, Cece Yorke, tells People. "Previously Catherine has said that she is committed to periodic care in order to manage her health in an optimum manner."

Meanwhile, a source tells People that Zeta-Jones was planning to return to treatment as a way for doctors to monitor her medication. "There was no big problem," says a friend. "This was just a good time to do it. She is in between projects. This has always been part of the plan. She would manage her health. She is vigilant about it."

Oh yeah, no problem at all. It's like one big vacation, except you can't leave your room and all the other hotel guests talk to themselves and try to light shit on fire. I hang out in mental hospitals all the time, even though there's nothing wrong with me. Just like Catherine. Well nothing except these spiders all over my body. SOMEONE GET THESE FUCKING SPIDERS OFF ME!

Catherine Zeta-Jones is bipolar

Catherine Zeta-Jones' rep is confirming that the actress recently completed a short stay at a mental hospital to treat her bipolar disorder. Now that whole two last names thing suddenly makes sense. From People:

"After dealing with the stress of the past year, Catherine made the decision to check in to a mental health facility for a brief stay to treat her Bipolar II disorder," the rep says in a statement. "She's feeling great and looking forward to starting work this week on her two upcoming films."

Zeta-Jones, 41, spent about five days in the unidentified facility, a friend tells PEOPLE.

"There's no question it's been a stressful year," the friend says. "Catherine has had deal with Michael's illness and that's been hard. She went in for a few days because she's about to start working, and wanted to make sure she's in top form, which she is."

Oh really? She just checked in for a few days to make sure she's in top form? Because mental hospitals are like spas, you see. In fact, I think I'll go check into one this afternoon for a relaxing massage. At least, that's what the voices in my head are telling me to do.

Especially fun to those audience members sitting on the left side of the orchestra at her new play A Little Night Music. Yes I mean nudity. From the New York Post:

Catherine Zeta-Jones gave well-placed fans at her Broadway show, "A Little Night Music," a little something to remember by inadvertently flashing onstage. Zeta-Jones stars with Angela Lansbury in the revival. In one scene, her character is reunited with her long lost lover and opens her kimono to show him what he's been missing. But audience members on the left side of the orchestra the other day also got a spectacular view. One told us, "I couldn't believe it. No wonder Michael Douglas looks so happy. The couple sitting next to me also saw it and poked each other." Expect a rush for left-orchestra seats.

Knowing that she's been sleeping with the corpse of Michael Douglas for more than a decade means that the only thing I'd have wanted to see less at that play than Catherine Zeta-Jones' nether regions would have been Angela Lansbury's. Besides, if people want to see a naked celebrity, they don't need to pay hundreds of dollars to attend a Broadway show -- they can just buy Mathew McConaughey a new set of bongos.
