Star: "U R A SLUT LOLZ" Barbara: "SRSLY?"
In an interview with Us Weekly, Star Jones blasted Barbara Walters and her new memoir, Audition. In the book, Walters claims that Jones forced her to lie on air about the rotund host having gastric bypass surgery, saying instead that her weight loss was due to portion control (Ed note. more like she lost "control" so she had to have a "portion" of her stomach surgically removed) and Pilates. Star was pissed, so -- in reference to Walter's revelation that she had an affair with a married Senator in the 1970s -- she basically called her an old slut:
"It is a sad day when an icon like Barbara Walters, in the sunset of her life, is reduced to publicly branding herself as an adulterer, humiliating an innocent family with accounts of her illicit affair and speaking negatively against me all for the sake of selling a book. It speaks to her true character." (Source)
Isn't it a little harsh to say someone's "in the sunset of their life" when you've been "in the buffet line of life" for most of yours? I'd say that Star's comments were harsh and insensitive if they weren't the exact sort of things I say for a living. Of course the difference between what she says and what I say is that I don't usually do it with my mouth full of cheesecake.

Paris Hilton gave her first jailhouse interview over the weekend via collect call to ABC News' Barbara Walters. Paris' mother, Kathy, was on the phone with The View matriarch when Paris called on the other line. When Kathy told Paris that Walters was on the other line, the imprisoned socialite requested to speak to her. Regarding her first three day stint in jail, Paris told Walters:
"I was not eating or sleeping. I was severely depressed and felt as if I was in a cage. I was not myself. It was a horrible experience."
When Barbara asked Paris how she's changed, Paris responded:
"I used to act dumb. It was an act. I am 26 years old, and that act is no longer cute. It is not who I am, nor do I want to be that person for the young girls who looked up to me. I know now that I can make a difference, that I have the power to do that. I have been thinking that I want to do different things when I am out of here. I have become much more spiritual. God has given me this new chance. God has released me." (Source)
Used to act dumb? Like on Friday when you yelled at the judge "it's not right" and then had to be physically carried out of the courtroom? Like then? But I guess on the first Saturday night you've spent alone since the Reagan Administration, you found God. Great timing!

I know my last three posts have had a general lack of skin, but stick with me for one more. Our favorite portly lesbian comic Rosie O'Donnell recently lashed out at "The View" co-host Barbara Walters over something she may or may not have said:
Both "View" producer Bill Geddie and Walters tried to calm O'Donnell. Walters told her, "I did everything I could to squash the story" - prompting Rosie to scream, "You didn't call me for 10 goddamn days, and you didn't tell me what you were going to say on television!"
How crazy is she?! Rosie's flipping out over something that Trump attributed to Walters, not something Walters actually said. Usually when you're feuding with someone you take everything they say with a grain of salt, unlike penis-envy Rosie who seems desperate to choke down whatever Trump sticks down her throat.
This whole situation reminds me of when I met this "22 year old SWF athletic" babe off of Craigslist. I showed up to a 5'4" 160lb monster and she told me "you're supposed to take personal listings with a grain of salt ... I just like the salty taste." Hell yes, I hit it.
