Amy Winehouse arrested again - UPDATE
Amy Winehouse arrested in London
Amy Winehouse was arrested today on drug charges, her second arrest in less than two weeks. The singer is currently in custody at the Limehouse police station in London. A Scotland Yard spokesman issued the following statement:
“We can confirm that a 24-year-old woman of the Camden area has today been arrested in connection with the possession of a controlled drug. She remains in custody.”
I’d heard whispers that Amy was involved in the illegal narcotics scene, but this news is still a punch to the gut. You know what guys, I need a little time right now to gather myself and reflect. I’m taking a spa day.
UPDATE: It looks like Amy was arrested over this video shot in mid-January of her smoking crack, snorting powdered ecstasy, and cocaine:
A rep for Winehouse told TMZ:
“Amy Winehouse voluntarily attended a London police station today by appointment. She was arrested in order to be interviewed and is co-operating fully with inquiries. The interview relates to a video handed to police earlier this year.”
