Britney Spears leaving Starbucks in L.A. (12/15)

This has been talked about in the past (see here), but now TMZ says Britney Spears has an offer from a major Las Vegas casino for a residence that will pay her in excess of Celine Dion's $100 million/year deal. Las Vegas, you say? Gee, what could possibly go wrong?

Britney is seriously considering picking up stakes and making her residency Las Vegas -- something just made easier after her split with fiance Jason Trawick. She's been negotiating with one of the Caesar group properties to appear in a Celine Dion-type show.

Sources connected to the negotiations tell us from Brit's standpoint, "The deal is a go. There are several stipulations that could throw a monkey wrench in the deal, but it's basically done."

One of the outstanding issues -- exactly what Britney will be doing. There's back-and-forth over whether she will just perform on stage at a big theater multiple nights a week, or whether she will also make appearances at functions in the hotels, nightclubs and pool day clubs. Our sources say the money being negotiated is "astronomical" -- more than Celine's $100 mil a year.

Please please please let this happen, if only to get cool Britney back. I'm sick of boring, always on time X-Factor Britney. I want fun, off her meds, crazy naked lady Britney back -- you know, the 1981-2011 version.  A long stint in Sin City should straighten her out just right. Britney should move to Vegas because she's a patriot -- the US of A just doesn't seem right if Britney or Jamie Lynn aren't pinching loaves on our values. I believe it was President Barack Obama who predicted during his reelection campaign that "the recession will end when and only when Britney Spears get wheeled into Promises on a gurney."
