Demi Lovato performing at Z Fest in Sao Paulo, Brazil (9/29)

Dude, it's just a Barbie Doll thrown by one of your teeny bopper fans. It's not a commentary on society, so settle the fuck down. Via Contact Music:
Singer Demi Lovato refused to accept a Barbie from a Brazilian fan during a gig on Sunday because she doesn't agree with the unrealistic body image associated with the doll. Lovato, 20, halted her gig at the Z Festival in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday when a fan threw a Barbie doll onstage.

Lovato, who has battled weight problems and body image issues for years and once sought treatment for an eating disorder, told the crowd, "I spent my whole life trying to be this and trying to look like this. And guess what? I'm not this...I've been through so much in my 20 years of life. I know how you guys feel and I want to show you guys that you can get through it because I'm living proof right here."

The singer/actress then threw the doll back into the audience.
Demi needs to chill the fuck out a little bit, in my oh so humble opinion. I don't think that savage wants her to be skinny like a Barbie -- I think she just wants Demi to be as good a singer and dancer as a plastic doll. I know Demi thinks she's huge now because she's Britney's only-slightly-less-insane sidekick now on The X Factor, but I sure wish she'd give my ears and eyes a break and retire from the entertainment industry. Or at least sniff a Xanax before interacting with her marks.

Demi has gone through more mental and physical agnony, trials and tribulations in her 20 years than people can even imagine. It's a wonder she can even get on a stage in front of an aduance. War orphans living in countries wracked by civil strife lives cannot compare with the horror that Demi has endured.
