Eliza Dushku is soliciting donations from her fans in an attempt to raise $60,000 to fund a new documentary film about Albania. $60,000? She is dating Rick Fox, right? The same Rick Fox who made $34 million during his NBA career? Via Contact Music:

The Bring It On star headed to her grandparents' homeland of Albania last year to record hours of footage for a new documentary. However, Dushku is struggling to find enough money to complete the project, and has reached out to her fans for support. In return for donations, Dushku has offered up a variety of rewards, including screenings and a credit on the film.

In a video to fans, she says, "Albania is our mother country, where our father's parents were born. Last August my brother Nate and I put together a small crew and flew to Albania for 15 days to capture as much footage as we possibly could. We just need to put it together - and we need your help for that. We've set up rewards on this site both big and small. We hope that you can donate even just a little bit, or even just a little more would be better."

Eliza Dushku should be broke. Why, you ask? Well, it's because she's done nothing since her run on Buffy the Vampire Slayer ended. N-O-T-H-I-N-G, and that includes Rick Fox. If Eliza did have money, then she clearly made piss poor decisions with it. For starters, wasting money on a documentary film on the glorious nation of Albania. Screw Albania and their 99% literacy rates. Do you know what the good ol' U S of A has that Albania doesn't? C-list actresses who are too dumb to read but smart enough to start a savings account. BTW, if Eliza would sit on my face for 10 seconds, I will deny that I ever wrote this. Yes, I think she's that hot.

As someone else pointed out, she starred in Dollhouse a few years back. But I also found it, um, interesting, that someone with her net worth is turning to Kickstarter. I guess crowdsourcing a project is a good idea, no matter what?
