the pictures were taken well before THG so people can calm down regarding the weight issue and even so it's a movie, would you really want her to starve herself? Isn't it more important that they pick an actress who can act as opposed to someone skinny just to please you?

Also, she HUNTS for food in the books. You'd build muscle combined with eating protein rich foods like Katniss does in the book if you REALLY want to be pedantic about it

There are actually reasons for that. Peeta was muscular from having a job where he moved 100lb bags of flour regularly. His family was able to eat a little better than most because they were bakers. Katniss isn't emaciated because she hunts illegally and feeds her family that way. As for the other muscular Tributes, they're careers from wealthier, more decadent districts where they somewhat illegally train for the games. They mention most of this in the book and movie.

So what the explanation for Jennifer Lawrence being 6 years older than the character she is supposed to be portraying? LOL

Talentless young actresses is the explanation for that. I'll take a girl who's a bit older with more talent over someone who can't carry the movie.

The book was awesome, but the main female protagonist in the book was skinny and had small breasts. I would not call this lovely creature skinny or small breasted..
