Hugh Hefner's son Marston dated 2011 Playmate of the Year Claire Sinclair for the past year. Notice I used the word "dated." The two broke up over the weekend. Because that's usually what happens when your boyfriend beats the shit out of you. After Marson was arrested for kicking and punching Sinclair during an argument on Sunday night (pic of her fat lip and bruised arm here), she told TMZ:

"I don't condone domestic violence, but if one ounce of good can come from this bad experience, then I can live with it and move on. That is why I will not press charges against Marston Hefner if he keeps his word to give a public apology for physically abusing me on several occasions, and seeks psychiatric help for his anger issues."

On Monday, after moving out of her apartment [on laundry day], Sinclair stopped by the Pasadena Police Department to get a restraining order against Marston (she claims that this is not the first time that he's done this). Martson's dad Hugh is acting like the whole, violent incident is no big deal. He told People:

"If they care about each other, they'll patch it up."

In Hugh's defense, in his day, kicking and punching your girlfriend during an argument was generally considered an acceptable way to get her to shut the hell up and stop whining. Also, in Hugh's day, all of the land west of the Rockies was considered Indian Territory. "Meriweather Lewis and William Clark were schoolmates of mine."
