Eva Longoria's lesbian scene banned in Spain

I don't know what got up Spain's ass, but they need to chill the fuck out. This is 2011, not 1611. Via 411 Mania:
Eva Longoria has a new film coming out called Without Men, which involves her being left in charge of a small Latin American village after all of the men are recruited by a band of guerillas. The story then explores lesbian relationships with the women. Knowing this, in Spain film executives have cut every scene featuring lesbian activity.

Director Xavier Daniel explains: "We received word from the Spanish distributor specifying that upon the film's debut in Spain, all of the lesbian scenes will be removed. We're very upset that a company would alter a film that way. People won't fully understand the plot if all the female love scenes are cut. It's unbelievable that this would happen in 2011."
I can definitely understand Spain's stance on this issue -- if the women involved are ugly. If they're talking about deleting scenes where Eva is getting it on with some other equally hot chick, then consider this post my official boycott of Spain. That country should get back to its roots, to a time when it didn't persecute its people based on their sexual preferences -- just their religion.
