Weird.

The general rule is the more south you go in Br, the whiter (european) people start looking.
Hawk
ah yes, must have been all the Germans who settled there after WW2.
coruja
Yes. But many came pre WW2. Also Italians/Spaniards and Japanese around Sao Paulo. People are much darker up north because the closest point to South America from Africa was Recife- slave trade.

Yeah, much of the southern third of Brazil, as well as the vast majority of Argentina and Uruguay are white. Most Brazilian models come from the southern portion like Sao Paulo, Curitiba, Porto Alegre, Florianopolis, Santa Maria, etc., and hence, most are white. In fact the only notable Brazilian model who is not fully white/mixed is Adriana Lima, but she looks mostly white (light skin, blue eyes, Caucasian facial features). Unfortunately the fashion industry has its biases and prefers a certain "look" if you know what I mean.
Anyway, in regards to southern Brazil, large numbers of German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, British, and Eastern European people live there. They migrated right around the same time European immigrants came to America -- late 19th century and early twentieth century. About half of the country nowadays identifies as white.
Brazil also has a lot of Arab and Japanese people too.

American models are almost extinct.

You should probably follow fashion more. Kate Upton, Brooklyn Decker, Emily DiDonato, Alyssa Miller, Chanel Iman, Marissa Miller, Erin Heatherton, Lily Aldridge, Tori Praver, and Darla Baker are some of the most in-demand models in the world.
