The mean streets of Pasadena dish out their own form of brutal punishment--the slight inclines can run you up to 7 or 8 mph before you even know what happened! Also, you can probably substitute a Schwinn 10 speed for the mountain bike. Not sure you're going to leap off any cliffs in the wal-mart parking lot.
