The "Mac Guy" aka Justin Long
Wow, the Mac Guy sure is. Funny. From the San Francisco Chronicle:
Actor Justin Long shocked diners at a popular New York City restaurant when he posed as a waiter. After finishing his meal at the eatery BLT Fish, Long got up from his table, purchased one of the restaurant's t-shirts and began working as a staff member, much to the amusement of his friends.I don't get it. If Justin really wanted to experience what it was like to work in a restaurant, why didn't he put on a hairnet and start speaking Spanish? And I don't mean that as an insult. If I go into a Chinese restaurant and see actual Chinese people in the kitchen instead of Mexicans, I will walk the fuck out of that place.
A source tells E! News, "He just started picking up glasses, cleaning tables. One lady was asking him questions about the menu and he was just making up answers. His friends kept saying, 'Make him work, give him a hard time.' It went on for over an hour. He was really working. He'd come back in the kitchen, grabbing menus, filling waters, and asking questions. The chef was laughing at him. Justin was totally cool."
According to witnesses, actor left all his tips to the other employees.
