Legal drinking age in CA is 21. Just because she is an "adult" doesn't mean she can break the law.

Legal drinking age has nothing to do with adulthood. That is the feds meddleding with peoples lives. At one time there was no legal drinking age. The federal government in all its wisdom decided alcohol in all forms was forbidden. It was called prohabition. I can remember when the legal drinking age was 18 in most states, until the feds got involved. I think it was Jimmy Carter that decided 21, along with a 55 mph speed limit.

Either way it is still illegal and whatever age you are, adult or not the 'feds' can and will throw you in jail. Everyone drinks before they are of age, and yes, drinking does not have anything to do with being an adult but first you have to think about how responsibility does have something to do with being an adult and being dragged out of a club and throwing your guts up in front of paparazzi isn't really the most responsible thing.
