Nick and Jessica had dinner last night

Didn't see this one coming: Jessica Simpson and her ex-husband Nick Lachey had dinner last night in West Hollywood. And if that wasn't awkward enough, Nick's girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo (here she is making Nick ride in the back seat) and Jessica's boyfriend Eric Johnson were there, too. From Pacific Coast News:

Thursday October 21 2010. Jessica Simpson leaves Red O restaurant after dining with friends and family - including her ex-husband Nick Lachey! Jessica's boyfriend Eric Johnson and her mother Tina were also there.

After dinner, Nick and Vanessa went back to his house in the Hollywood Hills, while Jessica was seen having another dinner at a local pizzeria. I kid, I kid -- Nick actually lives in Beverly Hills.

UPDATE: In Touch says Nick and Jessica didn't actually have dinner together and it was purely by accident that they were both at the same restaurant at the same time. Nick should have had an extra entree sent to her table just to fuck with her.
