Robert Shapiro leaving the Pickford Lofts sober living facility in West Hollywood (7/15)

Another one bites the dust. O.J. Simpson's former attorney Robert Shapiro -- who agreed to represent Lindsay Lohan after her first lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley quit -- dumped Lindsay last night. From TMZ:

TMZ has learned Bob Shapiro informed the judge in Lindsay Lohan's case, he's no longer representing her. It is unclear who will represent Lindsay tomorrow when she will turn herself in. We do not know why Shapiro has left the case.  He said publicly he would represent Lindsay only if she agreed to jail and followed his instructions. 

To recap, Robert Shapiro's mindset:

Defend a violent double-murderer: "Sure, why not."

Defend Lindsay Lohan: "Hell no."

I think we've been viewing Lindsay's jail situation all wrong. I don't think she's getting put into an isolation cell for her own protection. I think she's going in there for the protection of everyone else. God I hope she doesn't hurt anyone. Poor gang members. They must be so scared right now.

UPDATE: Lindsay's supposed to turn herself in at 8:30 this morning. I can almost guarantee that she'll be late.
