Woody Allen at a photocall for You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger at the Cannes Film Festival (5/15)

Oh wait, yes you will: Woody Allen (above doing his best impression of a 14-year-old trying to win a part in a Polanski film). I guess it's the unwritten code of perverts that they stick together. From the AP:
Woody Allen has restated his support for fellow filmmaker Roman Polanski, who is in house arrest in connection with a 33-year-old sex scandal. Allen said Polanski "was embarrassed by the whole thing," "has suffered" and "has paid his dues." He said Polanski is "an artist and is a nice person" who "did something wrong and he paid for it."

It was not clear whether Allen was aware of the new allegations when he made the remarks in an interview Saturday with France Info radio from the Cannes Film Festival. Allen had previously signed a petition calling for Polanski's release.

Allen's relationship with actress Mia Farrow ended in scandal and New York tabloid headlines in 1992, when she found out he was having an affair with her adopted daughter Soon-Yi Previn, then 22. Allen married Previn in 1997.
Are we supposed to be surprised that one perverted filmmaker supports the actions of another perverted filmmaker? These two defending each other is natural . . . or as natural as it can be when one sodomizes a 13-year-old girl rendered unconscious by sedatives and the other ends up marrying the adopted child of his ex-girlfriend that he helped raise. Aristocrats!

I don't like Woody Allen - and can't say here why - but what's wrong with falling in love with his adopted daughter? They are no relatives - both were legal - I don't get the point.

Oh wait - probably because I am from Europe - we are all like that here...

Eric, Roman was convicted of the crime. He failed to show for sentencing. He is a fugitive criminal.

The only thing creepier than Woody (is there something odd about him having that name?) is the sorry HollyWeird scum that surrond Woody and Polanski. These sycophants only enable child molesters to freely ply their trade.

Roman is a great man, a historic director, artist, and benefactor to society. We need to forgive him and move on, even though what he is alleged to have done is not proven and was more in the way of a social faux pau/victimless incident, rather than a real crime. It fact that charges against Roman and continued vendetta against him is more political than anything else. Listen to what the Celebs who know Roman are saying, not what those with a political/cultural axe to grind are alleging.
