This week's "Amy Winehouse is a cracked-out nutjob" story is brought to us by The Sun:

Amy Winehouise was back in hospital [Tuesday] night suffering fresh agony from her new boobs - after she drunkenly fell and bruised them. Her injuries were described as "not serious" but her agent said: "She really likes the clinic so may stay a few days."

[A hospital source] said: "Amy was running up and down the corridors with her top off and reeking of booze. She has been heard complaining of pain caused by bruising on her breasts and around her ribs. The nurses had to step in and ask her to calm down. Eventually she had to be taken back to her room. The ward sister was absolutely fuming."

Another source said of the tumble: "She'd had a few. At first she thought she had broken something, so got her security to take her to hospital. The doctors were worried she might be concussed because she had a big bump on her head and a cut above her eye."

Amy had bruised ribs, a big bump on her head, and a gnarly cut over her eye? It doesn't sound like she was at home drinking alone -- it sounds like she was hanging out with Joe Francis. The fact that Amy "really likes the clinic" shouldn't be that surprising either -- it's the only place other than her medicine cabinet that has prescription pills available by the pallet.

Halle Berry has entered the ranks of single motherhood. After four years and one daughter together (how can we forget those pregnancy boobs?), she and boyfriend Gabriel Aubry are splitting up. From Radar:

A source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com that Gabriel was the one who pulled the plug on their five year relationship  and that the age difference - he’s 34, she’s 43 - played a role.

"Gabriel just felt it wasn't working anymore," the source says. "When they were first together the 9-year age difference between them didn't phase him, she was the most beautiful woman he had ever dated and he was totally in love. But as time went on he started feeling it more and more.

"Also, Gabriel started noticing other women, and being attracted to others, and he felt it just wasn't right to stay with Halle in those circumstances. "Gabriel is a really nice, decent guy and he would never cheat on her, but I suspect that he had become attracted to someone and that he felt he needed to break it off with Halle before anything developed any further."

Wait a minute, he broke it off with Halle before he started cheating? That's not how you're supposed to do it in Hollywood. For Christ's sake, he didn't even get a chance to play the "I have a sexual addiction to waitresses and strippers that only rehab can cure" card. If you ask me, this guy seems like a real queer!

Kathy and Rick . . . ummm, how best to put this . . . about those checks you've been receiving for 8 years . . . so, yeah, we're going to need those back. From TMZ:

Herbalife International just filed a lawsuit against Rick  and Kathy Hilton, claiming the couple has been "erroneously" receiving royalties for several weight loss products for roughly 8 years.

Long story short -- Herbalife says in 1992, the couple provided services to the company to get a line of products off the ground ... products containing ephedrine that were discontinued in 2002 -- mostly because ephedrine was banned by the FDA.

Herbalife claims despite 86'ing the line .... it has still been paying the Hiltons royalties.  According to the suit, there have been ongoing but futile discussions about how much, if anything, the Hiltons should return.

Who's at fault here? The Hiltons for collecting the checks or Herbalife for continuing to pay them? If your company is paying royalties to someone on a product that was discontinued 8 years ago because it was banned by the FDA for containing harmful substances, you should probably worry less about suing spokespeople and more about paying this month's utility bill.
 
NOTE: This may be the first time I've ever supported the Hiltons on anything -- other than their continued use of birth control.

Lindsay Lohan arriving to LAX airport (4/29)

I've touched on this before (here and here), but Lindsay Lohan is making a mockery of her court-ordered alcohol education classes. Oh hey, it turns out judges don't like being made to look like complete jackasses. From TMZ:

Lindsay Lohan has violated the terms of her probation and is headed for a showdown in court next month that will almost certainly land her in jail. Lohan -- who is on probation for DUI -- has not fulfilled the alcohol education requirement laid down by the judge ... TMZ has learned.

Judge Marsha Revel made it clear to Lindsay late last year, she must attend alcohol ed courses once every 7 days.  The only exception -- if she was in inpatient rehab.  And the judge was explicit ... if Lindsay did not comply with the terms of probation, she was going to jail.

The school in which Lindsay enrolled is required by state law to inform the court only if the student is MIA for 21 days.  So here's the disconnect: The school has not reported an attendance violation ... because Lindsay frequently waited until the 21st day to attend classes.

Bottom line -- Lindsay met the school's requirement, but squarely violated the judge's order.

Judge Revel has made it clear to Lindsay -- no more chances.  If probation is violated, she's going to jail ... and probation was repeatedly violated.

I know Judge Revel is probably pretty pissed at Lindsay, but hopefully -- when she throws her ass in jail -- she acts rationally and doesn't put her in with the general population. I think Lindsay could be a real bad influence on some of the other inmates.

Michelle Trachtenberg got fat

The picture on the left was taken at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show last November. The picture on the right was taken earlier this month at the The American Museum of Natural History's "Museum Dance." So, roughly a four-month gap. In related news, Random House announced yesterday that Michelle's new book The Joy of Bacon -- which coincidentally took four-months to write --- is finished and set to hit store shelves this summer.

We almost lost Brad Pitt to Scientology. The tin foil hat-wearing freaks had their hooks in him in the early 90s, but he somehow managed to break free. From the UK tabloid The Daily Star:

Brad Pitt was a prime target for Scientology recruiters before he met Angelina Jolie, a new book claims. He was introduced to the oddball cult by his girlfriend at the time, actress Juliette Lewis. The two became regular visitors to the Scientology Celebrity Center in LA. Official church records reveal Pitt completed two courses - one of which was entitled “Human Evaluation” - at the centre in July 1991 and May 1993.

Author, Amy Scobee, says: “In the end, Brad didn’t think it was for him and he and Juliette broke up.”

But Scientology leaders didn’t give up on Pitt, now 46. Scobee, a member of the church for ten years, adds: “He was high on the church president’s list of stars they felt could be ‘recovered’. There are many household names on that list and they never, ever give up hope of another major catch like Tom Cruise.”

Boy, Brad dodged a bullet on this one. Can you imagine how weird his life would have been if he had converted to Scientology? The rallies, the secret handshakes, the constant media scrutiny -- it would have been a complete 180 from the totally normal life he lives now with his bisexual mistress life-partner and six kids from four different wombs and three different continents.
