You saw this last night if you were following my live tweet-blog, but what was up with George Clooney not standing up with the rest of the audience after Mo'nique won her Oscar? OK, maybe he's just not a standing ovation kind of guy. I can buy that. Um, except when Sandra Bullock won, he gave her a standing ovation. To recap:

The problem was his date, Canalis. She didn't want to stand for any of the standing ovations, and George was probably trying to make this not so obvious out by sitting, too. By the time it got to Sandra Bullock's and Kathryn Bigelow's standing ovations, George apparently had had enough of Canalis and actually dragged her up out of her chair, although she quickly sat back down again during the ovations while George continued to stand.
I makes me sad that George is falsely accused of being racist. After all he has done for Darfur, Haiti, and other people of all colors all over the world, it is shameful that some people jump at the chance to falsely accuse him of being racist.
