The Lindsay Lohan lawsuit is really happening

So apparently this Lindsay Lohan E-Trade lawsuit really is going forward (I thought it might have been the acid playing tricks on my mind yesterday). After the commercial aired during the Super Bowl, according to her mom Dina, Lindsay began sobbing uncontrollably. Wait a minute, that sounds like one of her good days. Dina told the New York Post:
"She said, 'Mommy, help me. This is wrong. How can they do this?'" Dina Lohan said of a tearful phone call with her 23-year-old daughter after the big game.

Lohan filed a lawsuit in Nassau County on Monday seeking an eye-popping $100 million in damages for her pain and suffering.

"I'm just basically glad I took a stand. I'm not going to let them do this to us anymore," Dina Lohan said of the "horrible" and "mean" ad.

She said that the ad was clearly aimed at her daughter because unlike other stars, her daughter's first name is synonymous with the "Herbie Fully Loaded" actress.

"Everyone knows Lindsay, like Cher or Madonna," Dina Lohan said. But Grey Group, which produced the ad, insists that -- unlike Oprah or Cher -- Lindsay is a popular baby name. In fact, company spokesman Chris Brown said that someone working on the spot shared the name as well.
If this story doesn't give you an idea of the retarded mind of celebrities and their inflated sense of self-importance, then I don't know what does. To recap, E-Trade is airing a commerical with a baby named Lindsay in it. There, that's Lindsay Lohan's entire case. Her lawyer must have thought he was on an episode of Punk'd when she showed up to his office with her strategy for the case mapped out in crayon. "First you're gonna play a YouTube clip of the commercial, point to me, and then point back to the commerical. And then we win $100 million!" Lindsay will be lucky if the judge doesn't throw this case out within 10 seconds of hearing it. Hell, she'll be lucky if the judge doesn't tar and feather her ass for being so dumb. My prediction: The case gets thrown out and Lindsay's lawyer is sanctioned by the Bar for "taking advantage of the retarded."

I hope the judge tosses out the case!

If the losers in a court were forced to pay court expenses there would be less frivolous lawsuits like this.

Just a family of parasites looking for a host to live off of.

Wow - Dina posts on Celebslam under the nick of "Paul!!!" ;)

I am not Dina, but I am sympatico with the Lohan Family. I feel we are kindred spirits.

PSS, Dina is a lady that has lots of class, and at the same time is tastefully hot. She is sensual, sexy and at the same time tender and sensative. She has great insight and a lovely personality. She IS a concerned and wonderful mother.

Lindsay is so full of herself to actually think this is about her? She is a poor soul who has obviously blown a career that many dream of. Shame on her unscrupulous lawyer for taking this case. She is a real sad case to see what she has become. Lindsay is a popular girls name and damn few people would think of this troubled actress when they see t his adorable baby in the ad.

I can just imagine what excellent publicity E-Trade is getting from this lunacy.

  • Tom

N=I know for a fact it isnt about her! A good friend of mine, Lindsy started throbbing the second she saw the baby on TV! It was her! So tomorrow we will speak with our lawyer about pushing this to the supreme court.

LiLo should be compensated for the wrongful and careless mental, and/or physical, pain, anguish and suffering she has had to endure. It is especially hurtfull that the tort was committed in such a public way, in front of millons on TV. The lawsuit will never give back that part of LiLo's happiness that she has lost, but the monatary and punitive damages will help to make her whole once again. Some of the hurt will be eased.

Civil suits help the average person achieve redress from giant impersonal corporations, like e-trade. Thankfully, in this country, the little guy can take on the big corporations in court, and win. You go LiLo. It is your birthright as an American to sue the bastards, when they wrong you.
