Corey Haim dead at the age of 38

Corey Haim is all over the news today, but not in the "career-boosting way" he had hoped for. Um, he died. From L.A.'s KTLA News:

Actor and former teen idol Corey Haim has died at the age of 38, the Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed to KTLA.

Haim died at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday of an apparent accidental overdose, according to the LAPD's North Hollywood Division.

Coroner's Lt. Cheryl MacWillie said an autopsy would determine an official cause of death.

Haim was found unresponsive inside a unit at the Oakwood Apartment Complex, located between Burbank and the Hollywood Hills, police said.

The Canadian-born actor, who has struggled with drug addiction, was pronounced dead Providence St. Joseph's Medical Center in Burbank, police said.

Oh great, so much for The Two Coreys reunion show. 15 or 16 people are going to be so disappointed. Dammit, Corey Feldman was counting on that $100 appearance fee. "I'm sorry kids, there's no Christmas this year because your Uncle Corey had access to the finest drug treatment centers in the world for the past 20 years, but told them to fuck off."
