Brittany always loved staring contests. That, and prescription drugs.

You know the charity set up in Brittany Murphy's name that had the dual purpose of honoring her memory and fleecing the general public of their hard-earned cash? I know this is going to come as a shock to those of you that consider yourself morons, but it was never a charity. The following was posted on the foundation's website earlier today:
We began the Brittany Murphy Foundation to honor Brittany's wishes and to give her family, friends, and fans a way of keeping her legacy alive. In an effort to get the foundation off the ground quickly, we established it as a private foundation with plans to apply for nonprofit status down the road. However, after some thought, we have decided instead to wait until we have our nonprofit status approved before proceeding to ensure that we can truly honor Brittany's charitable desires. Any donations made up until this point will be returned until we have all our paperwork solidified.

We would like to thank the thousands of people who have reached out with kind words of love and support; you have made the hardest journey a little bit easier.

With love and sincere gratitude,

Sharon Murphy and Simon Monjack

OK fine, I might have added that last line

Its all in a good cause. It is what Dear Brittany would have wanted. Do not let the memory of this extremely talented young actress fade. She was one of the greats, and like James Dean, cut down in the prime of her youth.

Give generously. Don't let a mere legal technicality stop you from helping to preserve Brittany's memory and doing good to help other people.

Maybe the money could be spent to provide health care for those that do not have access to health care, like Brittany. She died because she could not see a doctor. If she had of been able to obtain medical care she would have lived. Obama is fighting to get health care for people like Brittany.

  • How could she not see a doctor? She could have paid out of pocket, certainly, if she had no insurance.

She was so sick, for days, she died, and she did not get medical care. She was either uninsured and/or could not afford medical care. This is why your congress and president are trying to get health care passed.

Too bad she wasnt an illegal because then she would have gotten medical attention! THat is what Obama does! Healthcare for the americans who need it im sorry to say are going to be waiting a loooong time!

After getting a good at the creepy chucklehead, has anyone explored the possibility of suicide on her part? Beats waking up with that guy drooling over you.
