Somebody might want to remind Montel Williams that he, you know, has kids. From the New York Daily News:

The heartbroken children of Montel Williams have come forward to complain the TV star has all but abandoned them amid a bitter custody battle Williams, who styles himself as an inspirational guru, is locked in a 10-year fight with his ex-wife over son Montel, 16, and daughter Wyntergrace, 14. The Connecticut teens say the talk-show host has turned his back on them - paying $18,700 a month in child support while depriving them of the emotional support they crave.

"My dad is now like a stranger," Wyntergrace, who turns 15 this week, told the Daily News. "Everyone knows him as a great guy, but he's not making the best choices as a parent."

Williams, 53, is a former military man who won Emmys hosting his daytime show, which heavily promoted the importance of family and social responsibility. These days, he hosts a radio show, writes change-your-life memoirs and hawks a series of products under the name "Living Well."

Meanwhile, his children say his public persona doesn't jibe with their personal pain - and they are asking that Williams either take an active role in their lives or let their mom make all the decisions.

Wyntergrace has seen him four times in five years and their last meeting - a therapy session in September - was a disaster.

"He walked in already mad. He said he thought we were going to dinner, but my e-mail clearly said we were going to see my therapist," she said "It was intimidating. I was thinking, 'Why should I talk if I'm just going to get yelled at?'"

These kids are getting over $18,000 a month in child support and they're still finding something to complain about? I'm going to have to go with Montel on this one. For that kind of money, they should just learn to keep their mouths shut and do what every other kid does when they don't get enough affection from their fathers: ~~see a therapist~~ become a stripper.

you people are missing the point, the money he pays is what he agreed upon after he cheated on his wife. the kids aren"t asking for more money they are asking to have a relationship with him. What's wrong with that. I can them credit for speaking out. this man walks around like he's great and I think he's a loser. my stepsons live in a different state and we tried to get them to move back but we didn't have the money to continue fighting. My husband still sees them when he can and calls them every night. yeah they could just take the money but they wanted him in their lives. He's just too absorbed to look beyond himself.

They are 15 and 16 so their mother gets 18k a month, the kids want a father especially one they see less then once a year. I don't think wanting a parent to care about you when your father's entire career is based on telling people and men especially to step up to the plate and taking on family responsibility. Perhaps he can ask Sylvia Brown to help him locate his heart. The girl is clearly in pain.

Point taken that nobody really cares about Montel but his brand is based on a lie and he's making millions living a lie.

Why would the mother let 14- and 16-year-old kids talk to the press about a divorce that's been 10 years in the making? I mean, it's not like there were journalists knocking down their door because, seriously, who the F cares about Montel Williams' situation? This is just weird.

Oh, BOO-freakin'-HOO! Montel pays $18,000 (eighteen thousand dollars) a MONTH in child support and his kids are bitching. Look, your dad is an absentee father. He's required to pay child support and he does... he pays through the nose! Be grateful (VERY grateful!!!) and STFU, you spoiled brats.
