"It's true," said Fisher. "We're both obviously excited and very happy."A date hasn't been set but expect Carrie and Mike's wedding to occur in June or July of next year. Also, expect their honeymoon to last well into 2011. I mean, right? Unless this dude's gay.
Senators teammate Chris Neil said Fisher called him not long after popping the question.
"I think it's great. It's a long time coming. There's going to be a lot of broken hearts in Ottawa with all those girls who are in love with Mikey," said Neil.
The couple has been dating for approximately a year. They have kept their relationship largely out of the media -- quite an accomplishment for one of Nashville's hottest stars and one of the NHL's most eligible bachelors -- but had recently begun speaking in public about their love affair.
