Wrigley pulled his ads and fired Chris. Now they are said to be preparing to sue Chris for all the money they lost due to his bad behavior. I normally don't comment on celebrity gossip posts, but I am DISGUSTED with the comments on here SUPPORTING Chris Brown and saying things like "all couples fight" and "it was almost a year ago."
As someone who has been the victim of domestic abuse (ONCE -- I immediately kicked him to the curb afterward) I can tell you there is absolutely no excuse for such behavior. NONE. As for it being all the way back in February, the situation I was in was over two years ago and it still affects me in certain ways to this very day.
I've been in multiple relationships, and while yes there have been fights, I can tell you that not one of those men (save for the aforementioned in the previous paragraph) has EVER laid a hand on me. Arguments may sometimes even escalate into name-calling and shouting, but it is NEVER acceptable to physically abuse the other person, ever.
If you are in a relationship where your significant other hits you in any way, I urge you to leave NOW. There are so many other wonderful men out there who would never stoop to such a pathetic level, and you deserve better. Getting hit is not something you should ever put up with, and no, it DOES NOT happen in every relationship.

The only reason why it is a big deal is because of the celebrity of these two.The court rarely does anything even close to this over "domestic" altercations of this type. I know of women who have been beated repeatedly by boyfriends and spouses and reported it numerous times and the guy got a court room lecture and a anger management class. It is what it is. I can't believe that some of the people who posted comments on this article actually think it's Rhianna's fault that Chris Brown beat her up. If you are willing to "forgive" Chris for what he did, then you should be willing to "forgive" Rhianna too. Obviously, none of us were present to witness what happened when these they got into this situation, but even if Rhianna did throw the first punch, there is no excuse for why Chris hit her repeatedly in the face instead of restraining her, which would have been much more acceptable than what actually took place.
Domestic violence is something that has no place in this day and age, and to read what some of the posters on here think makes me feel like the general population of America is just as ignorant as they were back when African Americans and women still had no rights.

If (how people say) she "started a fight", he could have stopped the car and got out, and called a cab or someone to come pick him up, or to pick her up. If she started hitting him, he could have pushed her off, and walked away. He didn't do that. People need to realize that this type of situation should not be condoned, and people should not make excuses like a)this type of this happens in all relationships, b)he's really sorry and it's not his fault because she started it, or c)he's so talented and seems like such a good person and we should overlook this because of it.
