Will and Jada Pinkett Smith at the premiere of Hancock in L.A. last year

Don't even think you're gonna work for Will Smith and his wife if you're not a Scientologist. The couple fired Jacqueline Olivier, the head of their controversial, Scientology-leaning private school "The New Village Leadership Academy," allegedly because she disagreed with the wacky curriculum. An insider told RadarOnline:
"Jada phoned Jaqueline and told her that they had 'decided to go in another direction' with the school. As head of the campus her position was becoming untenable as she did not agree with Study Tech and felt uncomfortable with it.”  Olivier “thrashed-out” a severance package with the couple and “it’s understood that she signed a confidentiality agreement with regard to her time at the school.”

The school head and the superstar couple were said to have clashed about the school's mysterious Study Tech curriculum which was devised by Scientologist founder Ron L. Hubbard.

"They have appointed somebody else who is more 'in-line' with their thinking as to how the school should be run," the source added.

How high must you be to send your kid to a school run by the dude that used to play the "Fresh Prince of Bel Air"? Are we sure this school is even real? Maybe the whole thing is an elaborate sting operation run by the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services. Enroll your kids in Will Smith's school and congratulations, you get them taken away from you because you're an unfit parent.

I juzz luv Jada Pickaniny Smiff an Will Sniff.

  • Tyler

Scientology has no Gods, so there are no "invisible friends". However, there is the belief that after paying hundreds of thousands of dollars, you gain super powers! Hurray!

  • imominous

What I find disturbing are the "scolarships" being given to non-Scientology kids whose parents must be all a'squee at their kids attending a celebrity school.

And the parents have no idea their kids will be learning Scientology bolonium, because Will and Jada repeatedly deny that the school has any link to Scientology.

But the "Study Tech" IS Scientology! It's the same crap they teach public Scientologist who knowingly pay for these courses. It is part of Scientology's belief system; and as such, cannot be separated from Scientology as a secular program.

And now, not only the teachers but the head of the school are all Scientologists! Duh!

Google 'study tech,' and tell us if you'd like your kid exposed to it without your knowledge or approval.

Most religions explain your existence as small in relation to universe. It is supposed to make you humble.

In scientology, you are your own god. You are the center of the universe. That's why vapid hollywood types are so attracted to it. It plays to their ego.

  • PAZUZU

Don't you mean that most religions strive to make you weak, frightened and guilt ridden so that the corrupt puppet master at the pulpit can manipulate your money from you? Show me a priest and I see a lazy parasite in a dress who does nothing of value to support himself, while living for free off the toil of his brainwashed host creature. Wake up sheep, it is an ancient trick played on the feeble minded. Social control in the guise of spirituality.

The more I hear about both of them, the more weird it gets. But I agree with Pazuzu... you DO NOT mix church & state & school - ever.

  • Damn

Will Smith is fast becoming the next Tom Cruise.

People who embrace the theology of a drug addicted science fiction author are running a school? Don't get me wrong, I don't think scientology is more ridiculous than any other religion. I just think that anyone who has an invisible friend (god), talks to him and hears voices (praying), believes that someone used magical glasses to translate a belief system from golden plates that no one else ever saw (mormons), or in this case the whole spaceship volcano thing etc. etc. etc... should all be locked up for phychological evaluations before they harm someone (most likely children that they brainwash). Religion and education should never be in the same building.
