Gwyneth Paltrow at the "Children of the City Champions Hope Benefit" in New York (7/29)

Do stories about Gwyneth Paltrow not being a patronizing bitch even exist? I say no. From music writer Chuck Taylor's blog (story since removed no doubt after a threat from Paltrow's lawyer henchmen:)
Amid one friggin' downpour after another, beginning around 2 p.m. and still dribbling past 10 p.m., Ayhan and I were invited to Tribeca Grand this evening for a charity event [ed. note: the "Children of the City Champions Hope Benefit"], where Gwyneth Paltrow was the honored guest. It was supposed to be on the rooftop, but given that the city was sopping, it moved inside.

The press gathered on a balcony above the setting for the $375-a-plate dinner as Paltrow entered amid the typical madness and mania that accompanies any celeb standing in front of camera crews. If you've never seen it, you'd almost pity the star (until, of course, you remember that this is a responsibility of their choice to be in the public eye), as photogs shout out, "Gwyneth, look here." "Look to the right." "Smile." "Turn your head." "You look great." "Hey, Gwyneth, turn around." "Look over your shoulder." "Can you smile again?" It's truly bombast like nothing else in the entertainment business, and you wonder how these folks manage to look relaxed and smile ever so sweetly.

Then again, you consider that an actress like Paltrow makes $10 million per picture... and empathy evaporates. Deal with it. For that reason, it was astonishing to hear the disgruntled comments from the press on the elevator, as we were hurried back to the lobby, that Miss Gwyneth was overheard telling her publicist, "I'm done. Get the roaches out of here," referring to those very photographers that deliver her pictures to the wire services, newspapers and weekly celebrity magazines, helping her maintain any semblance of relevance.
Gwyneth's right. The photographers that plaster her picture all over magazines and the internets are "roaches." I recommend she take a stand against them and make a pledge -- that from this day forward no one will ever see her face again. And who knows. If we're lucky, other celebrities might see this story and follow her lead  . . . anyone know Michael Moore, Susan Sarandon, and Sean Penn's email addresses?

Ummm, no...I've met her. She isn't the joy and pleasure that she fakes to be. She might possibly really be a bitch.

  • Mis Erable

Meanwhile, you just posted 500 pictures of her on your site including her stupid shoes. Well alrighty then.

  • anti-pathy

Ummm, maybe it was removed because it wasn't true, I don't particularly like Paltrow, but I don't necessarily believe everything I read especially from disgruntled journalists with an axe to grind.

  • Jackson

Screw Paltrow and her continuing elitist attitude. If she'd been born to a factory worker and a housewife like me, she'd be a cashier at the local Walgreens. I bust my a** 50 hours a week to make ends meet and can't stand people like this. Sheesh.

  • Balls

How about when Fox News reported Mark Sanford was a Democrat for an entire week during Argentina-Gate? That might be considered fake news. Because you know, he's like, a straight up Republican...

  • boccmon

An entire week? Try one press conference, bro. It's fine to report mistakes, it's another to exaggerate them for your own purposes.

And I'm sure no other news organization EVER makes mistakes, right?

yes shit talking paps on a celeb blog doesn't make you guys look completely retarded or anything

  • Max

The word "paparazzi" literally means cockroaches in Italian, so there's nothing wrong with this at all.

  • Gettalife

Actually...she's right. Paps are just about the lowest of the low. A step above pedophiles, but only just.

  • jerk

Paps shouldn't be taking pictures of Gwyneth! Cuz she's an ovehyped fug who can't even dress herself. Paps should take pics of hotties instead.

  • Joe

Um, referring to the paparazzi as roaches is sort of a step up from what they really are. Toxic scumbags. Just because the celebslam writer directly benefits from what these paparazzi do for a living doesn't make that any less true.

  • jerk

I think the paps might be a step above Gwyneth Paltrow, though.

  • Anonymous

Strictly speaking, the traditional "Press" and "Parparazzi" are very different groups of people. The press photograph you at events. The paparazzi photograph you from the tree of the neighbor's yard while you wipe your ass in what you THOUGHT was the privacy of your own home.

Just not the same guys, really.

  • Christina

She comes across as such a bitch! This is just the latest of her many transgressions. Note to Gwyneth- No one is beneath you but keep it up. At this rate, the rest of the world will hate you as much as I do in no time.

    My bumpersticker:

"FOX said it; I believe it; that settles it".

On topic, photographers don't "plaster her picture everywhere" out of the goodness of their heart. It's a job. They do it for money. Like many other people who only "serve" you for the dough, some of them may be nice; some of them may be real assholes. And since being an asshole doesn't prevent a paparazzi from taking or selling pictures, there's no incentive for them to pretend to be nice. So, in a swarm, maybe they can be compared to roaches.

How does Gwyneth act with co-workers, crew and actual fans?

  • AlwaysGood

Another one huh? And you guys support our freedom's and rights being pulled right out fro under us? You seriously think it's not happening. Wow.

And you don't believe this selfish 'celeb' would say such a thing? Hahahahahahah!

  • chuck

My feelings exactly, Vince. The Celebslam writer should save his political musings for another venue. A book burning, maybe, or a Glenn Beck In 2012 fundraiser.

  • Crystal

Glenn Beck would never burn a book.

  • AlwaysGood

Just what EXACTLY is faux about Fox news? Exactly. What are your references? Where is your proof? Who are your sources? That's what I thought. Get your head out of the sound and try thinking for yourself.

  • rien

let's see.. WMDs, pretty much anything they've ever said about Bush, and hey, did you catch the one where the president of the NRA called them out for falsifying a story on semi- vs fully automatic rifles?

    wanks.

  • AlwaysGood

What EXACTLY on Fox news is faux? Exactly? Got proof, examples, references? That's what I thought. Get your head out of the sand.

  • LOL

    Irony is ironic.

  • Acemeister79

Probably is a bitch - and not too terribly hot of one either.

    Manger merde, wench!

  • Vince Viagra

Did Bill O'Reilly or Sean Hannity write this post?? Just wondering if FAUX News has somehow hacked into celebslam.com and we'll have to listen to their crazy rants. Hope not!
