A rep for Brown tells Billboard.com that "Changed Man" is not his comeback single and that the song was "recorded some time ago -- a long time ago, actually." The rep could not say whether the track was recorded after Brown assaulted ex-girlfriend Rihanna, whom he appears to be addressing in the lyrics:Damn that last line is deep. You know what -- if this song was made after the Rihanna assault -- Chris is right. We can never understand what kind of pain he went through. I mean, do you even know how hard a human skull is? Chris nearly broke his hand against Rihanna's face. But of course we never hear about that from racist Fox News. It makes me sick.
"I'm a changed man, because you mean that much to me," sings Brown on the mid-tempo ballad's chorus. "And I don't want to be done/I'm doing all that I can, and everybody hates Chris/They can never understand."
