Jeffrey Donovan busted for DUI
It was learned today the Burn Notice star Jeffrey Donovan was busted for DUI two Sundays ago after almost hitting a police car. I guess you're not supposed to do that or something. From TMZ:
We obtained the police report from the Miami Beach PD. The arresting officer wrote he first noticed Donovan after hearing "a loud tire screech behind me." The cop said he saw Donovan's car swerve left to avoid hitting the police car.What's this world coming to when a celebrity can't enjoy almost an entire bottle of wine mixed with a little Benadryl without getting hassled by the cops and treated like an ordinary citizen? I swear, we're creeping one step closer to communism by the day. Thanks Obama!
When Donovan finally stopped, he didn't serve himself well when he said, "Sorry, I didn't see the red light or your stopped car."
The officer says he smelled a strong odor of alcohol, asked Donovan if he had anything to drink and got this answer: "I had three drinks at the Fontainebleau."
Donovan flunked a field sobriety test and was taken into custody. That's when he said, "The only mistake I made tonight was drinking Benadryl with 3 glasses of wine."

What would have happened if you would hurt or killed someone while you were driving under the influence?
The police officers are there to protect the citizens from irresponsible people who don't care about others, and they drink and drive.
How would you feel if you killed a child?
With all the money you have, you should have hired a driver or gotten a cab.
What would you have said to a child when they are left without any parents, because you killed them?
Please think about others, not just yourself.
I will say a prayer for you. Asking God to forgive you and to give you the strength to hear my words, along with others, and drink sensibly.
Please, don't drink and drive. I have children out there and I don't want them killed by you or any other drunk driver.
How dare you, you moronic twat! Did you hear Donovan saying that he was pissed about being arrested or that the badges treated him poorly? Did you hear him say "to hell with everyone else...if I wanna drink and drive, by god, I will!"
How do you know that he hasn't already gotten sober since the incident? And who the hell are you to chastise anyone? What have you NOT done to cast the first stone?
For all you know he may be in anguish over this entire episode. He may be losing sleep and be depressed to the point of wanting to take the pipe. He may be in the throes of psychotherapy, attempting to emotionally make amends to the world for his thoughtlessness. How would you feel if your self-righteous castigation drove him to put a bullet through his head?
On the other hand, maybe he doesn't give two shits one way or the other and simply chalks it up to an evening of poor judgment and bad luck. But then that's none of your fucking business either.
Oh, Please Lord I pray for Jeffrey Donovan. I prey that you may give him strength to control his drinking. Lord you are the highest of authority. You have the power to forgive him when he has done wrong. Please Lord, guide him through life so that when he is vulnerable and at Satan's door you can guide him in the correct direction. Guide him to get a sober driver. Help him to realize that he will not be looked down upon by others, when he asks for that sober driver. Lastly Lord, give all those whom have lost a loved one to a drunk driver, the strength to go on. Comfort all the children that no longer have parents, and the parents who have lost a child so dear to their heart. In Jesus' name, this I pray. Amen
