You're an idiot trying to be controversial, presumably to impress people. I can only assume you feel massively inferior in other areas of your life. You're a fool and you'd do better to shut your mouth until you have something worthwhile to say.
Kudos to Greg for saying the unthinkable: I never liked Jackson's music either. Yes, it was different and yes he was inventive. Yes, he grew up in the limelight and probably had far less chance of ever leading a "normal" life than you and I.
But at the end of the day, he was also a pedophile, a drug addict and a deeply disturbed person who has probably already scarred his kids for life. They should have been taken away years ago. His death, while tragic, may have saved those children and protected many others from pedophelia.
His doctors, who allowed him to transform himself into a circus freak, should probably be held for malpractice. Instead of bleaching his skin they should have been considering having him committed for therapy.
Shame on us all for allowing someone with talent to destroy himself.
Michael Jackson was officially acquitted of all charges with regard to child molestation. Therefor any accusations of pedophilia or molestation are strictly unproven hearsay. Being a weirdo isn't illegal.
No one, especially you folks, knows what went on behind closed doors in his private life. To judge him based on hearsay and speculation is not only disrespectful, but it's plain wrong.
So now that all the haters have chimed in with their good riddances and their ignorance let me share with you what is ACTUALLY KNOWN about Michael Jackson.
Inducted into the Hollywood walk of fame.

I don't know what he did in his personal life and I don't care either. As far as being an entertainer though, I am literally in awe of his many achievements. The man deserves my respect based on his artistic merit alone. I will never forget him for as long as I live.
I am going to repeat this: One may easliy argue a few exceptions where the legal system failed (like possibly in the OJ trail), however, by far the majority of cases the judicial system works. The fairness of this system is the foundation of your rights and freedoms in the US.
Are you going to reject the concept of "innocent until proven guilty" because of a few exceptions?
For the MJ case, No evidence required, just my opinion based on everything the jury heard and didn't hear, what was reported and written. It's my opninion to believe he's guilty, just as it was the jury's opinion to acquit. I don't have to agree with it. As far as OJ goes, do we really need additional DNA evidence to prove he was guilty. Come on. It was a verdict marred by racial tension and ignorance.
didn't he pay some kid $20M to avoid an earlier criminal charge? since when does somebody who is INNOCENT pay the accuser $20M to stop cooperating with police?
face it. he was a freak. now he's dead. move along... nothing to see here.
you people who think "celebrities" are more important or better than everyone else are pathetic.
if Hitler had been a better painter, would you have been able to overlook that "whole holocaust thing" so that you could write complimentary obituaries about him when he died? i didn't think so.
Michael Jackson actually is not in debt up to his "Plastic Surgery Eyeballs" but actually is quite richer or left more money in inhertances that i'm sure you could even count the zeroes of. You should think before you talk, obviously your talk is only making you look like an idiot. His family will be becoming even more wealthy than they already are!!
I am going to repeat what Tim said, because clearly you still don't get it:
Firstly: MJ has never been convicted for the alleged accusation of "child abuse" despite the best efforts of the prosecutors, investigators, evidence and witnesses. That is against SEVEN charges. One may easliy argue a few exceptions where the legal system failed (like possibly in the OJ trail), however, by far the majority of cases the judicial system works. The fairness of this system is the foundation of your rights and freedoms in the US.
Secondly: Historically, accusations of child abuse or molestations are in many cases ambigious and questionable, ESPECIALLY when it involves fame and large sums of money.
The fact that he was not convicted in a court of law means only that there was not guilt "beyond a reasonable doubt." In a civil action, had one been brought, the standard would have been "by a preponderance of the evidence," and he might very well have been convicted.
I think maybe you folks should stop trying to defend him on the basis that he "was never convicted" - while true, it's not much an arguent. The "but look at all the good things he did" defense is far more cogent.
Anyway, as a matter of public record he paid millions of dollars to make allegations of pedophelia go away. I'm sure that in the agreement that accompanied the payements there was a stipulation that "neither party admits any wrong-doing," but there was clearly some untoward activity, even if it's not "beyond a reasonable doubt."
The question you might ask is, "would I let him babysit my kid?" Setting aside allegations that he liked to play "Thriller" with little boys, there are the wierdo beliefs, the drug abuse, the strange costumes, and the dangling-from-a-window-behvior.
He creeps me out. And his music never did much for me either.
Whippet, people might tend to agree with you or at least not tune you out more if you didn;t come off as an arrogant condescending turd who thinks we should all agree with.
becasue we are not robots, whippet. in a perfect world, people would go into a court room with no pre-conceived notion of guilt or innocence and then would embrace the verdict no matter how ill-conceived it was. But, we are not robots (well maybe you are), and we don;t live in a perfect world and we form our own opinions about our acceptance of a verdict. Per your own admission, the legal system failed in the OJ case. Why is it far-fetched for some of us to believe that it failed here too?
Unless you were a very close friend of MJ, you cannot say he was or was not a paedophile.
You can have an opinion but none of you will come back and say "Sorry. I was wrong" when the truth does finally come out.
It was a tragic way to die, he was very talented and was know all over this planet.
I think that whatever side of the fence you are on, you should ALL think before you write?
I just hope all those who make these bad comments towards Michael do not have some one close to them pass away soon. Imagine if they had to hear all these comments about their loved ones? People on forms talk big because they hide behind a keyboard. You didn't know him, nor did you see if he did anything to children. Stop being products of the media! Plus if you didn't like him so much and thought he was a freak why comment, let the people who cared write nice things. None of us are perfect.....and none of us knew what it was like to be Michael.
Well clearly, most on this thread are reading between the lines of your comments and seeing an 'opinion". So obviously you are not making your point. You keep wanting to state juris prudence facts, yet people have opinions that are based on emotion and gut-feelings and are tempered by the facts. We are not robots.
I DO NOT HAVE FACTS.
I DO NOT HOLD AN OPINION.
I DO NOT KNOW.
I am trying to plead for people to be neutral on an issue that was tested by the courts and found wanting. There are no facts or evidence to prove that he is guilty. Hence, at worst we should remain neutral, but open to new evidence or proof.
Michael settled out of court with one of the kids he molested for $22 million. You don't do that if you're innocent. You fight and fight and fight and fight to clear your name.
I know I'll probably end up regretting that I ever chose to contribute to this thread in the first place. As a musician myself I don't really think that the accusations regarding his personal life even have anything at all to do with celebrating what an amazing artist he was. Love him or hate him there's not a single one of you out there that can dispute his talent and his accomplishments. You guys can speculate about this or guess about that and form your little opinions, but at the end of the day whether you like him or not, he's still ONE OF THE GREATEST ENTERTAINERS WHO EVER LIVED. Maybe THE GREATEST. And I don't have to speculate in order to reach this conclusion. His many accolades speak for themselves. And they speak loud and clear. They are not open to negotiation or speculation. It is a FACT that he has set records within the industry that no other artist has ever even come close to and that his contributions to music and dance will never be forgotten.
I don't expect most of you to understand that. Most of you are too ignorant to muster much more than "fuck you" or "good riddance to the pedophile" from the security of your internet anonymity.
But the last comment I will make is this... Average Joe mentioned him settling out of court for $22 million and how you don't do that if your innocent. Actually if you're a superstar celebrity in the music world and you've earned over 500 million dollars in your lifetime and generated popularity in every country on the planet, then yeah you settle. If you have $22 million laying around on the coffee table and you've been ridiculed and scrutinized every second of your life since you were 6, then settling out would be as easy as buying a happy meal at McDonald's. He was loved and admired by more people in more countries across the globe than the President of the United States. He could've cared less what Average Joe or Phuc MIke jay think of his guilt or innocence. So yeah, he bought his way out of it. And so would you.
I'm not saying he didn't do it. I think my whole point here is that I don't know what happened in his bedroom. AND NEITHER DO ANY OF YOU. Cheers.
so let me see if i understand this... history began on the day "That Guy" was born and will end on the day "That Guy" dies.
is that correct?
because otherwise, there are a few fellows who would beg to argue about MJ being the greatest entertainer who ever lived... you know... fellows like Beethovan, Mozart, Wagner, Bach, Haydn, Schubert, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, etc.
those fellows created music that will still be played long after the world has forgotten who MJ ever was.
there was nothing special about MJ. for the past 25 years, he was famous for being famous during a time when the media has become obsessed with celebrity culture. prior to that, he was a bubble-gum pop singer. his private life was bizarre at best (to use a kind adjective). about the only thing worth pondering on his death is the sadness he must have endured by missing out on his child, such that he spent his entire adulthood trying to relive what he thought he lost.
it's a sad day for those who loved him, such as his family and friends. and i suppose its sad for those who liked his music. but everybody dies eventually and his death is no more meaningful than any other, and i would argue less meaningful than the death of any one of our soldiers who have died overseas since 2001 in the fight against terrorists.
Yes he's dead. So what. Enough already. As average joe says, you don't pay if you're innocent. He publicly stated sleeping with kids was great. He was a sick person who is better off now as are all the children who might have been his sleeping partners. They are safe now!
I love the comments regarding Michael's fitness as a babysitter.
As far as the proof that he diddled children goes...I don't think proof, in the form of physical evidence, is all that important in a case like this one. Child molestation is almost never reported as soon as it happens, therefore there is rarely a great deal of physical evidence. DNA, hair, all of that stuff is usually washed away long before anyone hears about the abuse. In any case, you don't need to SEE someone rob a bank to make the reasonable assumption that the guy running out with a bag of cash is the one who did it.
He was a talented guy who was obviously troubled. His music was never my thing, so I might be less inclined to ignore his bad choices and forgive him his really, REALLY questionable behavior, but I won't deny his impact on society and popular culture. He was an icon and a huge part of the entertainment environment in this country over the past five decades.
You've got to give credit where credit is due, but that doesn't mean that you can't look at Michael as a complete person, rather than just concentrating on the good that he did.
What about holding his own child over the balcony? He was so strange. And yes, had it been someone else, they might have had their kids taken until investigated. In any case, I did enjoy his music when I was a child and I do separate the person from the artist. I love Marquez's writing though he's a communist, I love Allende though I don't agree with her personal philosophy, and I enjoy many many artists without getting into what type of people they are, which sadly, usually is messed up people I don't like and who I'd rather not hear about unless they are 'performing'.
1st of all learn how spell you pc of shit! how do u he was a pheodophile? Did u know him? no! this all here say!! so stop talkin your shit!!! yes, he had issues but who doesn't.
You know... I think each and everyone of you MJ haters just need to shut up. Prove it that he did anything. Prove that he molested kids. The thing is that you can't do that. If we are going to sit here and talk about things that are in the bible. Read it through again, especialy about how treat and respect others. You are no Christian if you are going to shame an innocent man who left us to early in life. No one deserves any of what you haters have said, dead or alive. Also think about how his family feels. Think about their emotions and other peoples emotions. I am not just talking about/to you I am also saying this to the media as well. Also to the people that call him strange. Aren't we all. No is or will ever be perfect. People have done and will do more strange things that he did.
I can tell you that me and many others can say that not only was MJ a great performer, but he was also a great person. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and fans. God bless him and them.
MJ as an Artist one of the greatest and I bow to all his accomplishments... As a person, yes he is weird, I wouldn't let him babysit my children (Although I have none I still wouldn't), it isn't based on his court cases, it's the fact that he has issues with his childhood, drug abuse (regardless of how it started), and his vibe I get from him... It just doesn't sit right. Guilty or Innocent I wouldn't let him near my children... I don't call him a pedo because I haven't a clue, I wasn't there, I know people who would have gladly let there children stay over his house just to fake a story of molestation (weither it would have happened or not) for money... I've enjoyed his music for years and can say only this... People will always have their views on everyone... We all judge people weither we really want to or not... You do it when you go to the store, when you go the public bathroom, at the diner, at the mall, HELL even at Wal*Mart (I know it's wrong but I go there to make myself smile at how some people dress or look... makes me do a little better in life)...
I've gone off into a tangent... My point is this...
In the end, he was just a person like any one of us...
Yes people die...
He made millions, became a ledgend, his music will live on...
He also made mistakes like all of us....
Only thing is this, He'll be remembered for his success and accomplishments...
You and I probably won't even make the paper...
And for those leaning toward a darkerside
He'll be remembered as a pedo...
People never want to see the good you do...
Only the bad...
U KNOW WAT U GUYZ R ALL A BUNCH OF IDIOTS EXCEPT 4 ANONYMOUS HE ACTUALLY KNOWS A THING OR TWO MICHAEL JACKSON WASNT A PEDOPHILE THE KID THAT SAID THAT WAS PROVED TO BE PAID TO SAY THAT MICHAEL HAD MELESTID HIM SO SHUT THE FUK UP U PRIKS IF U DONT KNO WAT UR TALKING ABOUT DONT FUKIN SAY SHIT U GUYZ EXCEPT 4 ANONYMOUS R PROBABLY THE REASON Y HE DIED CUZ HE SAW UR UGLY ASS FACES AND ASKED 4 SOMTHING TO HELP HIM SLEEP CUZ HE KEPT SEEING UR FUKIN UGLY ASS FACES SO SHUT UP!!!!!!!AND U GUYZ R THE FUKIN PEDOPHILES U FUKIN TARDZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SO HOW BOUT Y GO FUCK UR SELFZ AND IF U DONT LIKE THAT U CAN SUK ON MY NUT SAK BITCHEZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

one less pedophile in the world.!!!!
Why is there one less pedophile in the world? Are you in jail?
shut up
he isn't a pedophile.
there would be if you weren't alive.
piece of shit.
U'r so pathetic phuc mike, close your mouth and speak only on subjects you know
rest in peace Michael
the legend never dies
The legend and the man are two very different things.
He never had peace while alive. For his sake, one can only hope that the Bible didn't get it quite right.
Despite some of his personal choices he was a real talent and I enjoyed much of his music. He left his stamp on music and it will never fade.
Never liked his music, good riddance to bad rubbish, lets hope Gary Glitter is next.
Good riddance, one less pedo in the world.
Michael Jackson was officially acquitted of all charges with regard to child molestation. Therefor any accusations of pedophilia or molestation are strictly unproven hearsay. Being a weirdo isn't illegal.

Ditto. Well said.
four words for you...OJ was acquitted too!
Think before you write.
PS: well said Tim.
No, only rejecting the concept of "innocence before being proved guilty" for OJ and MJ (and maybe Robert Blake), not across the board...
Do you care to offer us some unambigious evidence to back up this strong assertion of yours?
For the MJ case, No evidence required, just my opinion based on everything the jury heard and didn't hear, what was reported and written. It's my opninion to believe he's guilty, just as it was the jury's opinion to acquit. I don't have to agree with it. As far as OJ goes, do we really need additional DNA evidence to prove he was guilty. Come on. It was a verdict marred by racial tension and ignorance.
didn't he pay some kid $20M to avoid an earlier criminal charge? since when does somebody who is INNOCENT pay the accuser $20M to stop cooperating with police?
face it. he was a freak. now he's dead. move along... nothing to see here.
you people who think "celebrities" are more important or better than everyone else are pathetic.
if Hitler had been a better painter, would you have been able to overlook that "whole holocaust thing" so that you could write complimentary obituaries about him when he died? i didn't think so.
yeah, and although "acquitted", he was a f@cking pedophile who died broke and in debt up to his plastic surgery eyeballs.
Michael Jackson actually is not in debt up to his "Plastic Surgery Eyeballs" but actually is quite richer or left more money in inhertances that i'm sure you could even count the zeroes of. You should think before you talk, obviously your talk is only making you look like an idiot. His family will be becoming even more wealthy than they already are!!
so does those ''achievements'' lets you play with children booty holes?
So, think carefully before you write or speak.
The fact that he was not convicted in a court of law means only that there was not guilt "beyond a reasonable doubt." In a civil action, had one been brought, the standard would have been "by a preponderance of the evidence," and he might very well have been convicted.

Anyway, as a matter of public record he paid millions of dollars to make allegations of pedophelia go away.
Phil the fact that said civil case never happened nullifies your argument in its entirety.
Your opinions, though more coherent than most I have seen here, is still based on speculation...
Whippet, people might tend to agree with you or at least not tune you out more if you didn;t come off as an arrogant condescending turd who thinks we should all agree with.
Okay, what is my opinion?
Please tell me what my opinion is.
What is it that you disagree with about my plead for neutrality before people make up their minds based on proper facts and evidence?
What is there to disagree about?
becasue we are not robots, whippet. in a perfect world, people would go into a court room with no pre-conceived notion of guilt or innocence and then would embrace the verdict no matter how ill-conceived it was. But, we are not robots (well maybe you are), and we don;t live in a perfect world and we form our own opinions about our acceptance of a verdict. Per your own admission, the legal system failed in the OJ case. Why is it far-fetched for some of us to believe that it failed here too?
Granted, except sometimes "opinions" come across as pretty absolute.
He admitted that he had young boys share a bed with him. So it's not all speculation and hearsay.
Was a scumbag.. Adios fuckface.
Oj wasn't being accused by a low-life, money-grabbing extortionist either. The man was NOT a pedophile. DEAL WITH IT!
Oh, now that was intelligent.
Please do not use my username, get your own. Thank you.
(even though I agree with your sentiments)
Did he died?
Unless you were a very close friend of MJ, you cannot say he was or was not a paedophile.
You can have an opinion but none of you will come back and say "Sorry. I was wrong" when the truth does finally come out.
It was a tragic way to die, he was very talented and was know all over this planet.
I think that whatever side of the fence you are on, you should ALL think before you write?
Peace.
Phil has it right: would you let him babysit your son or little brother? Do you think he could get a job at a daycare center?
Come to think of it, do you think he could get a job as a Wal-Mart greeter? I think they drug-test all prospective employees.
Let it go. He was a freak with musical talent. The fact that he could dance didn't make him less a pedophile.
I just hope all those who make these bad comments towards Michael do not have some one close to them pass away soon. Imagine if they had to hear all these comments about their loved ones? Whippet: Stop being a condescending jerk. We don't all have to agree with YOUR opinion.
I HAVE NO OPINION you idiot. THIS IS MY POINT.
Human epistomolgy (knowledge) is based on the idea of neutrality before making up your mind based on facts and evidence.
Is this SO dificult to grasp?
Well clearly, most on this thread are reading between the lines of your comments and seeing an 'opinion". So obviously you are not making your point. You keep wanting to state juris prudence facts, yet people have opinions that are based on emotion and gut-feelings and are tempered by the facts. We are not robots.
(Slapping hand on forehead)
I DO NOT HAVE FACTS.
I DO NOT HOLD AN OPINION.
I DO NOT KNOW.
I am trying to plead for people to be neutral on an issue that was tested by the courts and found wanting. There are no facts or evidence to prove that he is guilty. Hence, at worst we should remain neutral, but open to new evidence or proof.
FAH-Q......
wow...its a sad day when people don't find a picture of a dead man disturbing.
Love Michael
Love his music
Love the legend
R.I.P Michael Jackson

I love Marquez's writing though he's a communist, I love Allende though I don't agree with her personal philosophy, and I enjoy many many artists without getting into what type of people they are, which sadly, usually is messed up people I don't like and who I'd rather not hear about unless they are 'performing'.
Very well said.

the Bible is quite clear on child molestation as it is on rape.....that person burns in hell forever PERIOOD!
The bible is also clear on forbidding you to eat shellfish.
I am sure your soul is lost too then.
Michael touched a lot of people...just ask any ten-year old who ever stayed the night at Neverland!
Phuc,
1st of all learn how spell you pc of shit! how do u he was a pheodophile? Did u know him? no! this all here say!! so stop talkin your shit!!! yes, he had issues but who doesn't.
RIP MJ
Uh, perhaps you should check your own spelling before accusing others, idiot. Pretty embarrassed, huh?
I heard he died of food poisoning....
ate too many 7 year old nuts.
Thank you for the time.
