i mean, i get his point. he's not saying he wants to murder anyone, he's saying he understands the reasoning. i mean, it IS his money. he earned it. his wife shouldn't get to spend it. she didn't do anything for it. if she wanted to leave, she should have to say goodbye to money she didn't earn.
