She has been plagued by health problems for years. She was very beautiful when she was young so this must be really difficult for her. I still think she is a wonderful actress. Her role in Marley and Me was hilarious and shows that she is able to laugh at herself.
Kathleen Turner was a gorgeous Hollywood romantic lead. She was severely crippled by rheumatoid arthritis and in the early 1990's. The medications available then (largely corticosteroids in monster doses) had severe and permanent effects on her appearance.
However, she is that rarest of all phenomena, a star who can actually act. Since advances in medical treatment have got a handle her problem ("cure" would be too optimistic a term), she has had a second career as a stage actress and a "voice" actress in animated features.
To mock someone who has overcome so much and who continues to turn out superior work does not reflect well on you.
