Rihanna leaving Da Silvano restaurant in New York (3/14)

As first mentioned last week, Rihanna's having second thoughts about getting back together with Chris Brown. In fact, the two are currently "taking a break." Looks like somebody finally beat some sense into her . . . wait, maybe that was the wrong choice of words. From E!:

It's no coincidence that Rihanna and Chris Brown are on opposite coasts right now. According to a source close to the couple, they have been "taking a break." The source tells E! News that the pair are not calling it a formal breakup, but have decided to put some distance between them. We are told they plan to see each other soon. (Source)

Am I the only that thinks Rihanna's being a little unfair here? Just because Chris took his right hand and shoved her head against the passenger window of the vehicle causing an approximate one inch raised circular contusion, punched her in the left eye with his right hand, punched her in the face with his right hand, threatened to beat the shit out of her when they got home, threatened to kill her, levied a barrage of punches upon her, punched her on her left arm and hand causing her to suffer a contusion on her left triceps that was approximately two inches in diameter, threw her cell phone out onto the street, placed her in a head lock, pulled her close to him and bit her on her left ear, punched her in the face and arms, placed her in another head lock positioning the front of her throat between his bicep and forearm causing her to be unable to breathe and she began to lose consciousness, bit her left ring and middle fingers, and punched her on the legs and feet causing several contusions, doesn't mean he doesn't deserve a second chance.
