The circumstances of this are hard, unfortunately for the Mom, Tom is married to this woman and she has no choice but to be cordial for the Baby's sake. Although is cool of Gisele to love her "step-son" she will never be the mom and she needs to respect that... and 2nd of all, Bridget Moynahan is waaaayy more beautiful and classier than Gisele! so I don't know what ugly people/mothers you are talking about but it ain't Bridget...
I think a lot of people are making this something it isn't. She isn't trying to replace the mother, she is only saying she loves him fully as a mother would. Try to remember, there is also a language barrier, she was born and raised in Germany.
