Natasha Richardson dead at 45
Natasha Richardson's family released a statement today, confirming rumors that the actress has passed away:
"Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time."Wow, this sucks. By all accounts, Natasha was a really nice person, even raising millions for AIDS research. I'm not even gonna try to make a joke about this. Paris Hilton, when your days comes, you probably won't be so lucky.
Truly a tragedy - never know when a person's time comes. Sympathy goes to all who loved her :(

On the plus side, I can't WAIT until we get the "universal healthcare" here in the US! It's going to be nice and comforting to know that whenever we get brain/head trauma that teh 1st ambulance will not come get us but TURN AROUND, saving the medical system (and government $$$$ they'd have to spend saving a meaningless life like mine!!! YAY for saving money on healthcare!
I agree that your healthcare system is superior (although more costly) than we have in Canada (and hope you don't follow our path - the U.S. is too big to afford it) - but the free ambulance and medical care was turned away by the ski resort (and the injured, I guess) - not because of money... Tragic choice to turn away earlier first aid, but not the result of the Canuck health system. Try to know what you are talking about before throwing wrong comments in the mix.
