Though she hasn't officially commented on the statement Chris Brown released on Sunday, word from Rihanna's camp is that she thought her ex-boyfriend's apology was a load of crap. From the Chicago Sun Times:
Recovering from her various injuries at her home down in her native Barbados, the singer told a longtime friend in that island nation she was "appalled" by the comments Brown, 19, made in that statement. The guy said he was sorry. What more does Rihanna want from Chris? It's almost like she hasn't forgiven him for beating her within an inch of her life. So she'll see her scars every time she looks in the mirror, won't trust men, and will never be able to watch a rocky movie again -- big deal, get over it! I'm sure a musician like Chris has learned a valuable lesson from this whole debacle and will never do anything like this to his singer beau again.
While stating he was "sorry and saddened ... over what transpired," Brown did not declare any remorse or give any details about the couple's Feb. 8 confrontation.
"All of us, including Rihanna, don't understand how he can say he's sorry on the one hand, but still ... does not admit any guilt,'" said the source, adding, "He should have expressed more contrition."
In Los Angeles, a close Rihanna associate -- in daily contact with her -- told this column Monday the entertainer is "royally pissed off" by what Rihanna calls Brown's '"cavalier and arrogant statement." (Source)
