Britney Spears at LAX last year

I mentioned last week that Britney Spears had her diaries stolen. Britney's freaking out because apparently they're full of some pretty juicy information -- like that one time she had an abortion. Yikes. A source told the National Enquirer:

"After Britney and Justin Timberlake broke up and she was living back in Louisiana, she had a fling with a local man -- and ended up pregnant. She desperately wanted to have a baby, but was advised it was bad for her career," said the insider. " Reluctantly, she had an abortion, and it has haunted her ever since. Justin was crushed when Britney told him she had an abortion. She said Justin was really hurt. He called her from time to time to give her emotional support, but they were never lovers again. Britney desperately wanted a husband and kids. It is the reason she married Kevin Federline after just meeting him. She was trying to catch up and to ease her guilt over the child she never had." What is it about Louisiana? Is it just me or does it seem like the second a woman above the age of 14 crosses the state line she becomes inseminated. Note to all couples thinking of using expensive in vitro fertilization to become pregnant: don't -- just move to Louisiana.  BTW, what could have possibly made Britney think that having a kid would ruin her career? Things seemed to have worked out well for her sister. She's done some of that expensive city eatin' at "them fancy sit down places with napkins" three out of the past four nights. A success story if I've ever heard of one.
