Lindsay Lohan dropped $53k on three Rolexes yesterday at a watch store in Beverly Hills. What's a recession? From Celebuzz:

"I don't know why she bought three watches," admits the owner Philippe Briest. "I guess she just felt like having them."

The watches included one Rolex rose-gold President watch with a diamond dial (retail price at $30,000), one Daytona stainless steel and yellow-gold watch with a black mother-of-pearl dial at $15,000.

The third was a gift. A stainless steel Rolex with black diamond skull in the center. Total worth $8,000. Phillippe would say who the watch was for—"but it was a very romantic gift, I can say that."

Briest says his playful shopper was "skinny, but very happy. She looks great."

"She loves to play with all the stuff when she comes in. She wants to try everything on. She cannot decide. And then she wants it all." (Source)

Where is Lindsay getting this money? She hasn't worked in months. She hasn't had a hit movie in years. How can she afford to drop $50k on watches? How much do famous kidneys that smell like Red Bull go on the black market? I don't know, maybe Lindsay's gonna run up all her credit cards and then declare bankruptcy. Moral bankruptcy in 2008. Financial bankruptcy in 2009. How fitting.
